Picked up a grail gun for me. Unmolested OG 19 Staccato P. Briefly owned a Heritage model, but didn't like the serration cuts on it, and I wanted an irons only one. Only thing I'm going to changed is the rear sight to a 10-8 as I like a unotch rear. Also, this has a checkered mag release, wish my 4.4P and XC had it. I personally don't like the looks of the tree bark grip, but it does feel nice in the hand  |

Started wet and I lubed the rear of the slide rails, the barrel hood, and some through the slide cuts at 500. It probably didn’t need it. The average range session it’s still wet when I’m done. |

Staccato XC 800-900 rounds during a weekend class with no problems. I love this lube from FCD: Super Duck Snake Oil I get home from a high round class and can still feel the lube on my pistol and AR parts. |

I’m looking at other options for no reason other than “because” Yes, I'm only using Staccato mags. Mostly Gen 3 and a couple of Gen 2. I have an ammo can of 24 mags. I'll load them up before class because I hate wasting time loading during class. I really have no idea how many rounds through a single mag, but can't think of one failure I've had due to any of my mags. I did have the dumb idea of using my new to me XC at a class after only having it for 2 days. Figured I'd do enough dry fire drills to get comfortable enough. NOPE, add in the little stress of class and I couldn't get my brain to not run it like the Glock I had been shooting for decades. Managed to dump a full XC mag on the ground and spray rounds everywhere. Idiot - lesson learned. I've never used any other 2011 mag other than Staccato so I can't help you there. |

| I've found that I have to clean my Staccato P mags after 7 or 8 thousand rounds or I'll start getting 3 point jams. Now I clean the range mags every 6 months and change the springs and followers once a year. |

The LGS has a P with ice comp with AL frame that i am considering. It's probably one of the limited release guns from '22. my gut says go with a steel frame. For that kind of money, i think I'd rather do a special order and wait the 2 months. Some people say the weight doesn't really matter but the AL frame feels more snappy. Most of the point to a 2011 is the soft shooting nature of the gun. If that gun has been sitting since '22, maybe I'll make a lower offer on it than what they are asking. I don't plan to carry it, if i do it'll be in a back pack. I was considering a comped prodigy to go with my 5" prodigy. But if i get the P oce comp, i can make it loud as fuck with the comp, quiet as fuck with a can, and normal as fuck bare muzzle. |

No difference performance wise, same times/accuracy under a shot timer as the steel variant. |

I’ve dipped my toes into the 2011 world this week. This Synergy is really nice in its first 150 rounds. It was a bit gritty in its delivered oils, but after a strip and lube, it’s very buttery. Attached File Attached File |

You mind educating me on what exact optic cut / plate system / BUIS is on the Alchemy and a trustworthy shop who could do it? I'm having a REALLY hard time updating my STI DVC Tactical to accept a RDS and I initially was leaning SRO but am definitely will be going with the RMR HD no matter what. I contacted Staccato and they don't offer those services and stated that I would void any warranty if I do have the slide altered. The purest in me won't allow me to molest either my DVC Limited or DVC Tactical, but having finally jumping on the RDS handgun reality, have been shooting a comped RDS G19 the past two years so naturally is becoming a must on my first love 1911/2011 platform. At this point, I want a Comped/RDS 2011 although I have been shooting them on and off since the Costa Comps and the DVC Omni as my Brother in Law owns both. Biggest requirement is to return to DLC coating the slide after the cut to the DVC Tac or just grab a Comped budget friendly option and upgrade little things as I move along. In a perfect world, I envision making a bet with the BIL and winning his DVC OMNI so all of mine remain OG STI's. LOL...In the end, I love how low your optic sits and that the SRO/RMR HD is far enough back from the ejection port as I've personally witnessed some ejection issues being caused when those optics lens sits closers to the ejection path. ETA: Perfection would be how low it sit with the Staccato HD P4 but I would rather not have the rear sight forward the lens option, Just a personal preference aesthetically on my end. No other reason. |

I'm 99% sure I'll never have it milled but like you, it's definitely one of the two I would take with me into harms way. I'll probably just end up with a P sooner or later to fill the 2011/RDS void either way. |
