I bought a couple for Wideners to try them out. I have used em in a couple of USPSA matches and had no problems at all with them. They do feel a bit cheaper than the Glock mags, but they still worked fine with the couple hundred rds i put through em.
That being said, the factory Glock mags stay in the ole G19 for carry and defense purposes.... |
I have been buying Glock 9mm mags since September 13, 2004 so I have plenty of factory Glock magazines. I bought factory G18 mags at what I believe was their lowest retail on-line price of $22.50 from Wideners which was a little more than a year ago. So I didn't need more G18 mags, I just wanted them.
I opened two packages of the Kahn G18 mags. The metal liner is shinier than on Glock factory mags. It looks like it's stainless steel but I didn't do any metallurgical analysis :
I filled one the night before and one just before shooting today with WWB 9mm. They do feel stiffer to load than Glock factory mags but I can load them with 33 rounds:

I'm not endorsing the Kahn mags, just letting you know what I did with them today.

I bought a pair of KCI G19 mags, and they worked fine. I didn't find them particularly harder to load than any other new magazine. I would expect they break in like everything else. When dropped on a mag change onto concrete, the follower would get a little cockneyed - not to the point of popping out, but a bit. This didn't seem to affect operation at all though.
Used them at an IDPA match, it was muddy in places, and dusty in others, and they worked just fine. Just like Glock mags, when coated with grit (and grit in the mag well), they don't drop free. After all that use some plastic bits were sticking out, and were trimmed with an xacto knife, but I expect that is a one-time thing. |

been running Khan G17 mags in my 34 and 19 ... Zero . Zero problems over 1k of remington bulk ammo even about 100 HP's in the mix as well. Will try some of the G18 mags over Memorial day weekend. F**k it for the price they are sweet range mags. I wouldnt be above using them IF I ran out of OEM mags for self defense. Couldnt be more pleased

| I have one I use in my G19 have had zero issues thus far. I do not have full confidence to use while carrying but def. great to shoot off at range. Maybe when I get over a thousand with zero issues I will carry. It has locked to the rear everytime also. I only paid 9 bucks at a gunshow for it. |

Just went to the range and fired 4 Kahn 18 mags. I haven't fired the 19 in well over a year. First mag had 5 FTE's and then ran flawless after that. Probably the 19 just getting rid of the cob webs. For the $ I would say you can't beat the price for some range mags!

I did not have good luck with the two KCI Glock 17 mags I tried.
One was impossible to load with more than 10 rounds before the follower would tilt and jam. The other one would load to 14 before the follower would tilt and jam. I took the mags apart and didn't see anything inside that the follower was catching on. The follower is just of a poor design. I also noticed the inside dimensions are a little short. My rounds loaded to 1.140" (SAAMI max is 1.169") were dragging on the front and rear of the mag's interior. I'll return the mags to my friend that loaned them to me and tell him they are not worth messing with. Stick with factory mags for a few dollars more. |

Friend of mine came over last weekend, who had previously dropped off three cases of KAHN M17 magazines for me to list on the E.E., but at that time, neither one of use had tried these KAHN magazines.
He gave me several of the mags to try out, and he also opened up a few packages to test. Between us both we had fired in excess of 400 rounds. It was a mix. Reloads, WWB 115 FMJ, and WWB 115 JHP. ZERO failures experienced with our Glock 17's. We also tried the KAHN 33Rd magazines as well. All performed as expected, and every mag dropped free, but fit slightly snugger than the OEM mags. I'm going to test these more over the weekend, but I feel they make great range magazines, which is what I'll be using mine for. |

All of the mags have worked flawlessly so far. I've loaded and shot each mag about 3 times and have kept them all full loaded when not in use. They still drop free and hold the slide open on the last round. They do tend to drop the slide when forcefully inserting a fresh mag, but I kind'a like that quirk

I shot all 5 of my 33 rd Kahn mags through my KelTec sub 2k with no mag related failures. Except for a FTE on the first round that I attribute to firing steel cased ammo before and not cleaning everything went pretty smooth.

I have 5 of the 17 mags, and two of the 18's. So far they have all worked without any hiccups.
I am going to the GSSF shoot today in Columbia, but, um, well, I'll be using the factory mags. Not enough range time on them yet to trust em 100% |

If you do it hard enough it makes the slide budge/jump/wiggle/boogie just enough to release pressure on the slide stop. Same thing happens when you tap the butt on an ar with the bolt held open. It is just harder to slam the mag home when the gun is upright. |

I bought about 20 of the KCI (Korean in the brown paper sleeves, also sold in a clear plastic bag with free mag pouches) for G19.
They seem to be good, quality mags. I put about 150-200 rounds through each with no failures. A couple of them wouldn't let me fit the 15th cartridge in, but I imagine the spring will loosen up eventually. A couple of them wouldn't drop free when empty, however rubbing them down with some fine grit sandpaper fixed this. I'd probably trust them for range or carry once I run a few more rounds through them to be sure. Posted Via AR15.Com Mobile |

I bought two of these and stuck them in a couple of range guns at work and the 17 has about 2500rds through it with 0 issues and the 19 has around 1800 with 0 issues.
I'll probably buy some of these for myself and use them as beaters. |

I just picked up two G22 KCI mags and a pouch for $20 today.
They are hard as hell to load past 10rds... I managed to squeeze 14 in them, but the last one just wasn't 'gonna happen. I will use them strictly as range mags. For carry purposes, it will be factory Glock mags only.

| Yep. I bought one 15 and two 17's and cycled them all a few times this past weekend and no problems period. I will have to run quite a few more rounds through them to be sure, but they seem to work great, I will definitely buy more. |

I just got two new G22 factory mags to compare to the new Korean mags I got a few weeks ago...
Like I mentioned earlier... the Korean mags are a bitch to load beyond 10rds. My new factory Glock mags will take all 15rds no problem at all. The Korean mags also tend to tilt the follower when loading. |

I have been using my KCI G19 mags for a while now, a few things I have noticed are they tend to bind up while loading, it seems to be an issue with the follower, while making a mag holster I noticed they are slightly thicker than the factory mags, but this does not cause an issue with the pistol at all, and the springs are weaker than the factory mags.
All in all they work great, and I don't feel bad dumping them into the dirt/cement pad.

I shot mine in my G22 a few days ago.
They only had 10rds in them and shot fine, but I didn't like how tight they fit in the magwell. I won't use them again. They will go on the EE eventually and I will stick to factory made Glock mags.

I bought two KCI G19 mags on closeout from 44Mag. They both feed fine and lock the slide back after the last round. One does not drop free, so I will try to hit it with some fine grit sandpaper. In the hand, they feel lighter than factory mags.
Shocked the hell out of me the first time I slammed the mag in and the slide dropped into battery. My seven other Glock factory mags don't do that. They are certainly good enough for my range plinking needs, and I will pick up some more. |

Korean Glock mags

Brought them home, loaded them up, and went to insert them in the mag well when I realized the fit is extremely tight. I had to push them in hard to make them click into place. I tried them in 3 different Glocks, G22, G23, and a G27. Fit the same in all three guns, too tight. So I got out a micrometer and measured them against Glock OEM mags. Almost 1/32" larger in both dimensions. Now I have a dilema. Can't bring them back to the gun show, I got them from an ammo dealer, all sales final. Anyone else have this issue? Any ideas |
