A 686 marked "BRPD" that I bought on impulse from a pawn shop.  I'm pretty sure the "BRPD" stands for Baton Rouge Police Department.  It was my first revolver (and only, so far) and has been a joy to shoot.

Whoa, that actually looks way better with the x300 than i ever would have imagined!  Too bad the longer variants won't be able to snug a taclight that close to the trigger guard.

That is sweet!  I had a matte blue 3 inch 29-10 "Bounty Hunter" but couldn't abide the Hillary Hole and sold it.

Stainless is my preference in revolvers anyway.

Using a camera phone it was hard to get a good picture due to the blueing. It it is a S&W 19 Texas Ranger Edition that has as far as I can tell never been shot but that will probably be changing soon

S&W Performance Center 629-5, .44 Magnum,  Stealth Hunter in factory "Birdsong/NATO" green. I just picked it up on trade. It's used, but still very tight and the trigger is amazing. I'm planning on contacting S&W next week to see how many they produced in this finish. Range report to follow.

Just picked up this 629-8 a couple of days ago (used, I won't pay for a new revolver with a lock.....but I don't mind buying a used one if it is destined to be a gun that I USE rather than collect) so that I could have something that is actually useful in the woods when I go hiking with my GF.

Shot it for the first time today and I have to say it was enlightening.

Happy to report that I'm not shooting no weenie loads either.

You can skip the book ad to 36 sec and see a perfect 250 i shot on the TX CHL course of fire with my S&W .44. Amazing how much better groups you get with an 8 3/8" barrel compared to my semi-autos! (it's a little dry, but intended for noobies thinking about their TX CHL)

Thanks gentlemen.

It's a little tribute to my Grandmother's 3rd husband. The only Grandfather I knew growing up.

ETA: He recognized early on, my appreciation for firearms and the 2nd Amendment. His guns were willed to me when he passed on.
