629-6 Mountain Gun gun at a local carbine shoot.

Why does that Kriss have its muzzle in the dirt?  Push-ups.  NOW!!

Anyway, here's my little revolver collection.  H&R Victor .22 Long, NAA Mini .22 LR, 1954 S&W Chief's Special .38.  They're much prettier in real-life .

My first wheel gun in decades!!  But certainly NOT my last.

And after a little "gun parts play"...  With Aimpoint ML3 installed.  (TOO BIG!!)  Threw the gun's feel/balance way out of wack!  Time to look for a smaller sight solution.

My first centerfire revolver.  S&W model 65-2.  I picked it up Tuesday and just made it home from the range.  I know it's still dirty in the pictures but I appreciate the look of something dirtied up by honest use.  (It'll be clean again soon.)

The gun store employee said the lot of model 65s in the case were from a corrections department.  I believe OSP stands for Oklahoma State Penitentiary.

The grips were fun to make. I enjoy woodworking and I wanted to personalize my revolver. The grips are hand carved and shaped from a chunk of birdseye maple. Actual cost of all of the materials is about $12. I have enough to make at least two more sets. It did take about 8 hours to carve, shape and finish them. It was my first time making grips.

The holster is an IWB kit from http://oldfaithfulholsters.com/ It was a fun project and the holster fits really well. Just a word of caution if you decide to make one of these kits. Be sure to pony up the extra $3 for the 6"x12" sheet of kydex. The 6"x6" sheet would not have been big enough.

She ain't too beautiful, but she's accurate and fun to shoot. Five rounds of 125gr+P Remington Golden Sabers are hard to argue with, especially when it's backing up my 9mm.

Hawt.

I wish there were a way to get one with a 4" barrel, though. Make a great woods gun, I'd think. Hardcast loads at velocities that are at most only a tad "warm"....in a large-bore caliber, without the full weight and bulk of an N-frame gun.

Oh well.

Just took this home today, found at the local friendly GS.
I'm usually a S&W guy, but I kinda like the way this Colt Lawman
felt in my hands. Colt quality is also obvious on this revolver.
Eventho there are some minor cosmetic blemishes on her (got it pre owned)
she still shines and worked flawlessly. I had a great time at the range.
