Two questions.
1) how do I post a new topic?
2) I am relying my old revolver and the cylinder, barrel and couple of other parts were obvious steel and shined up well when stripping and the bluing has come out well, but the frame and receiver looked like aluminum when I stripped the old finish off and would not shine up like the other parts and I cannot seem to get them to blue as dark as the c
cylinder. Does anyone have any suggestions on this? I am using Birchwood Casey liquid blue.

Nice guns. I LOVE revolvers. Not that I don't love any and every kind of gun I've ever run across, but something about revolvers captivates me unlike any other gun types. Here's my one and only, it's a Blackhawk 357. I wish it were a GP100, but hey, baby steps right?

My latest acquisition, a pinned and recessed Model 66-1.

I picked it up Fridayy for $375.00 at my local fun store where it was on consignment.

Grips are not original, I believe they might be made by "Fuzzy" Farrant, but I'm not sure.

From the SN, I found that her born on date is probably 78 or 79. She's in great shape for a 30 something wheel gun.

Chambered in 357 Magnum, in Stainless Steel. In the pic, it is wearing a set of Pachmayr Presentation Grips, which replaced the factory Hogue Rubber Grip.

Just blame the dry weather. The fairways have got to be brutal. Might make the greens nice and fast though.

How's the gap flash on those? Been wanting to ask someone who's shot one since I use a thumbs forward grip when shooting and have grown attached to the skin surrounding my thumbs.
