@Duffy do you sell the plate to slide screws? If so, how much?

Had someone offer me the plate but they are missing the screws.

If you have the M3 0.5mm screws for the cover plate, you can use those screws.  Ours are M3 0.5x6mm, if you need the sight to plate T15 6-32x3/8 screws as well, they're on our site, do a search for RMR and the screws will show up.   If you need just the plate to slide screws and don't have the cover plate screws, email me and we'll send them to you.  We make very to nothing with these screws, postage is what makes these so expensive to buy on our site

Yes. You will need the RMR to MOS plate mounting screws as well as the plate to slide screws in the drop down menu ($2 add on) for MOS cut.

Edit: Who did your slide milling? It is cut specifically for RMR? Not a factory MOS cut slide?

I've really been considering one of those lately. I think it's the only popular striker gun on the market I haven't tried, yet.

Local shop did it. I haven't picked up the slide yet but if I remember correctly the invoice said MOS cut (I told them I was planning on putting a RMR on it and they said the cut I selected covers RMRs)

Will have to look after I get off from work

Honestly didn't know that anybody offered MOS cut outside of factory slides from Glock. (I had to look into that).

I had mine cut by Battlewerks for RMR direct. Great outfit.

National Range & Armory in Williamsport PA. They were the closet Gunsmith to me local (still pretty far away)

Maybe they didn't do a MOS cut and just did a RMR cut.

That looks like RMR direct mount to me.  The modified version where the raised threaded holes act as the recoil bosses.

That's better anyway, if you planned to mount an RMR and were getting it cut, why wouldn't you just have it milled for the direct mount?

A lot of holosun dots are also RMR pattern mounts, as do most of the good options other than the enclosed stuff.

It's always preferable to direct mount and not use adaptor plates.

Drop it on, apply thread lock to the screws, and tighten down to I believe 15 in-lbs.  It should be in the RMR manual.  Test fit first to make sure the screws are the right length and not too long that the right one runs into the extractor rod if the hole goes into that channel.

You'll also probably need 4-40 thread screws if you don't have them.  Doing the cut like that with the threaded raised posts required a swap to the slightly narrow diameter screws.  Also recommend you use an RMR sealing plate when on a Glock slide because the optic will overhang on the sides a bit and the o-ring on the bottom might not get a good seal without it.

Use a pipe cleaner dipped in acetone to really get in there and clean/degrease the threads on the slide. Also use acetone on the screw threads. I’ve seen a few RMRs fly off due to people thinking that a drop of loctite is all you need.

Sorry, just saw your pics.  Others have already helped with info, our plates only work with MOS (not LE only MOS 3, 5, 6 and 7, those are milled for DPP, RMR, Holosun 509T, and ACRO, respectively) , not a milled slide already cut for RMR, you will need a sealing plate, not our MOS plate, as the width of the slide doesn't support the full width of the RMR.

The cut on your slide is missing 2 lugs in front RMR uses, though it uses the threaded posts, I'd still like to see lugs for the RMR's lug holes, but if the fit is tight, it should be ok.

Your cut will work for RMR, SRO, RMR HD, but not RCR, which can't have the posts, threaded or not, due to RCR's design that requires the use of capstan screws.

No, you have the raised posts at the threaded holes that double as recoil bosses in place of the front posts.  You'll usually see one or the other used.  Cuts that have neither are junk.

@PA-Minuteman

It's perfectly fine.  I've had multiple Glocks done by battlewerx with the threaded recoil posts only and they all hold zero and return to zero if you torque them to the same spot.  Been using them for years.

My latest one has the extra bosses up front.

Yeah, grab a sealing plate as stated.

Your RMR fit should be tight. As in zero play forward/back. The internally threaded posts and recoil lugs (for cuts that have them) basically anchor your optic. A sloppy optic pocket transfers all of the slide momentum stresses to the screws which becomes a shear point.

ETA: On the other hand,  if you requested an MOS cut and wanted the plate/optic interchangability , then I'd be getting ahold of the shop that cut your slide. They owe you.

Is there a "conventional wisdom" out there for replacing the batteries in your optics?  Recently I went out and grabbed by carry pistol and as I was checking it I discovered the optic was dead.  Looking it up, I'm at about 2 years with the same battery.  Thankfully I'm still good with irons and am co-witness with my setup, but I didn't allow myself time to replace the battery before heading out the door so I had little choice.

The ARFCOM way is "just change all of your batteries on your birthday". In 2024, that is easier said than done. I'm currently sitting on at least 20 firearms with battery powered optics and it is a RPITA.

I'm done buying type I/II RMRs which require dismounting of the optic, dealing with striped screw heads, removing witness marks on optic body/screw heads, scraping off the hardened thread lock on the screw/screw hole threads, blowing out slide mounting holes with compressed air, cleaning/degreasing with acetone, changing the battery, reapplying thread locker, breaking out torque wrenches, waiting for 24 hours for the thread locker to set, rechecking torque, applying new witness marks and then taking affected firearm to range to re-zero. Doing that to 7-8 pistols and 3-4 rifles once a year takes way more than a day and to be frank... It absolutely sucks.
