I have had the priviledge of being escorted through the SIG Sauer factory and through the master shop by Herrn Plohmann, the manager of the proof house in Eckernfoerde. I saw how the masters fitted the guns. A German master gun smith has studied three years for his associate degree and had to pass standardized tests. The best of them can go for the master program. I was ROing at the officer's club and helped a lieutenant sight his P220S in many years ago and just decided that I needed to add one, a well used gun with Karl Nill grips ( stippled as I like them ), box, manual and three mags. A nice .45 ACP target gun!

I love the 210 but wouldn't want to carry it. |

I picked up a new M18 to build an X Compact on the manual safety FCU and added a flat trigger and the larger slide stop lever. I'm considering having the slide modified so I can mount a Romeo-M17 but will probably put that off for a while. Attached File |

I've been mostly a Glock guy since the 1990s. Never had any exposure to SIG until my cousin got into them a few years ago. At Thanksgiving I shot his P320 AXG Legion and was really impressed with it. My LGS had a huge Black Friday sale. Over 150 new hand guns marked down 50%. I was unaware of the planned sale but happened to be in the shop before the sale started and I was handed a list. I was told I could buy early if I wanted to. Good customer and all that. I also had a store credit that could be applied to the final purchase price of whatever I bought. I opted for these: SIG P226 P229 Fresh out of the bags-o-lube. Haven't cleaned them up yet. OTD price on the P226 Legion was $562. $672 for the P229 Legion. Extra magazines are on order. Free pistol cases and challenge coins are on the way. Being new to SIG I've got a lot to learn about the different models, features, and options SIG offers, but I don't think I could have found a better place to start price wise. I won't have a chance to take them out until after New Years but the anticipation is building. |

I think Bass Pro shops carry them if you have one nearby to check it out. I took it out yesterday and put a few hundres rounds through it. The support hand thumb ledge is awesome and makes shooting it so much better. I was on the fence for a while mostly because of the price, but with the Black Friday sale and my birthday, the wife was like, just get it. I truly haven't been this excited about a new gun part in a while. |
