If you're the type of person who modifies your guns anyway then start with the cheapest option in the Frame size you like. If you just want an out of the box gun with more features get the Mac. Mac is only available in commander length but has a proper length rail for most lights, bull barrel, adjustable over travel on the trigger, better sights, and an included mag funnel. I personally don't like optics plates and prefer a direct to slide fit but the Mac is the way to go if you must use an RMR style optic. I went with a DS9 carry because I wanted a commander frame but a threaded barrel and the barrels were available for a reasonable price from SDS. If I had wanted a Govt. sized frame it would have been cheaper buying a DS9 NightStalker and I would have more features. |

Bought mine on impulse last week. I’ve only fired 1 box but certainly seems to be shooting low and left as others have said. Trigger was fair, about what was expected and I’m sure it will break in. And as others have experienced, the optic cut is too tight. Tried an EPS, 407k, Romeo X compact, and a Defender CCW. None would fit into the pocket. Send in a warranty claim. At least it shoots easy and smooth. |

Based on my 1911s from Tisas the extractor will probably need some touch up after another range trip or so but the ejection is consistent enough for now

Before I pull the trigger on a holster. A stacatto P will work for these correct? Also finally part of that “2011” gang gang  Attached File Also not sure if I’m just lucky (or unlucky) but I had to modify my TLR1 to make it fit. I purchased the QVO key but when I installed the light it would sit on the rail crooked. From what I could tell this section in red had to be filed down. Sample size of 1 but I just bought a Duty model right before Christmas. I just mounted an updated (refresh rate / 10m auto off) Vortex Defender CCW 3 moa dot. It dropped right in and with included shim plate required almost no adjustments to co witness with iron sights. I do not have any other RMSC foot print optics to check the cut but defender fits great with no mods required. |

The price was about the same based on a sale they ran and free shipping they had for 24 hours. These have most of the features of the upcoming MAC's, such as the dust cover rail is longer than the other Tisas offerings and it had the wider spaced striations. It is RMSc cut which means the rear sight is direct slide mounted vs the MAC where the rear sight attaches to the optic plate, and the cut is low enough that you should be able to cowitness with your red dot and not have to swap the sights. It doesn't have a ported comp, but if you have a pistol suppressor already, this appears to be a great model to consider. I haven't made it to the range yet, but if you are in the market for one of these, and you like the look of the features, now's the time, they've been hovering close to $750 95% of the time since it would be reasonable to think the MAC and 2025 Tisas models have been in the works. Once they get the 2024 NS inventory cleared out, I'd guess pricing will hover back into the $750-1000 range with the new models. |

So when looking for a holster for my new Tisas Duty DS 9mm....what Staccato model matches it as far as frame/barrel size? Seems like most holster manufactures list several different models of Staccato holders....but none for the Tisas. Would it be the P model? Any help would be great! Thanks |

Took my Tisas double stack full size out to the range finally. Shot about 300rounds of mixed ammo, 147 federal, a bunch of 124 and about 30 rounds of IMI 124+p. About 5 stove pipes with all that. Definitely shoots low left. Probably gonna look for a Holosun dot for the slide. Attached File |

I want one of these but will hold out for a bit to see if PSA comes through with their Sabre-11. I want to go with an American manufacturer if I can afford it and this is going to be my likely option. Damn this Tisas it tempting. |

Cross posting from a GD thread. I bought the Duty 5" DS for the price and to also test out the platform. Occasionally I shoot comps here and there with my Zev OZ9 (G34) but I'm not super into it, maybe a match once every couple months. So I was just curious as to how I would shoot with a different platform, hence the 2011. I enjoy working on my stuff so if I had to do some tweaks that wouldn't bother me, as I was probably going to upgrade things anyway. Right out of the box the trigger pull was 6 lbs. It didn't really feel 6 lbs and was smooth-ish, lots of play up and down, decent amount of take up, functional I guess. First range trip I had failure to feeds every other round. The first couple mags ran ok with an occasional FTF, then the FTF increased to every other round. You could feel the slide was sluggish and slow. Tracked that issue down to an extractor with an increadible amount of tension. So much tension I could barely spring the claw back to get it through the channel to remove it. Adjusted the tension and it still had failures to feed, just not as many. I replaced the extractor with one from WIlson and it ran great. No FTF, gun functioned like it shuold. I then installed a Red Dirt ST trigger, Brazos Tuned Trigger Group (hammer, hammer spring, hammer strut, sear, sear spring and disconnector) and EGW barrel bushing. This thing is insane. Trigger pull is 2.25 lbs and is so crisp it hurts your ears when you dry fire. I didn't have to adjust any spring tension or anything, everything dropped in. Took it to the range and it ran like a top. I did change out the recoil spring for a lighter one but it didn't like that so I put the stock one back in and it ran another 15 mags just fine. Standing 10 round 25 yard groups are abut 4.5" or so but I should be able to tighten that up. Splits are in the .18 range, so I'm not used to that trigger enough to take advantage of it yet. I put a Vortex Defender ccw on it and for just under $1k it's a damn fine shooting gun, which is pretty much exactly what I wanted. |
