Seeing as how I dislike keymod, i may sell the rail on mine and opt for something else. I'ld like to stay with the MI G2 SS, but until the barrel nut thing gets sorted, the samson will do.

Green Top in Richmond VA has three .243's for $1099 each as of 8/20. They are usually on the high side of prices, but I thought $1099 was reasonable for a rifle that you can't keep on the shelf right now.
Very impressive rifle. If they had one in 6.5 I would have walked out the door with it. The stock locks up tight and feels great. The only thing I'll end up swapping is the grip and I'll probably flip the safety to the other side or go Ambi. |

Update. Changed out the vortex 1.26 35 mm rings for Badger Ordinance 1.375 35mm rings. Now the scope sits higher and cap is off the rail. The vortex felt fine to me. The badger feels better. I'm glad everything fits and is off the rail. I looked all over for 35mm rings. I called Larue about their lt104 with 35mm rings and was talked out of it. The badger rings are probably the cheapest 35mm solution @ 169.99

| Everyone's different. Just try it out yourself. I wasn't keen on having a quick disconnect even though I own quite a few for my AR platform. I did reverse the cheek piece. Felt better. I think the 1.375 is right on the money along with the 20 MOA rail |

It came with a muzzle brake and I paid $950 for it from my local guy. The suppressor aligns with the MB and a simple short twist and it's locked. Construction is solid and out of some new wonder metal. Supposedly sound reduction is the same as many others (in the 130db range) but people are reporting the "tone" is less sharp and thus better sounding than some other cans. My belief is a can is a can and they all tend to reduce sound to about the same level. With that in mind, get what you can afford and be happy.

I took the RPR out today to sight the new optic. I didn't stay too long as it was Fudd day at the range and downright scary. I'm getting better, but still need more practice.

Nice, Covered range good for the rain and sun, bet it's loud! Need some acoustic tiles up there. Looks like she's a .75 moa rifle. Maybe tighter down the road with some rounds out.

I appreciated the honesty and even if it conflicts with your opinion, I'll still buy from you in the future. I have plenty of larue stuff. I am not sure the LT104 is the best option here. vortex optics tech also told me that a side to side mount was less than optimal. I'd like to see a 35 mm option in a top to bottom mount but you don't make one. I see that vortex went with a 34mm on their gen 2.... So maybe going forward it doesn't matter for the 35mm options |

Update. Changed out the vortex 1.26 35 mm rings for Badger Ordinance 1.375 35mm rings. Now the scope sits higher and cap is off the rail. The vortex felt fine to me. The badger feels better. Interested as I have one on order. They said that it put the scope a little high and that if you want precision, to go with dedicated rings. So maybe going forward it doesn't matter for the 35mm options To butt in on the conversation, and for what it's worth, the Vortex included a free Spuhr mount. I wish I had taken pictures, but the Spuhr has concentric ridges on the inside of the surface that basically locks the scope to the rings. I have another Vortex combo coming and will take and post pictures after they arrive so you can get a feel for the mount. I also have a 35mm LT104 coming and intend to mount that Vortex/LaRue on my tOBR. I'll mount it to the RPR prior so the data hounds can get a feel for the setup and relief off the rail. I'm comfortable with the 1.5" mount and considering the stock adjustability, a few millimeters isn't going to affect my shooting.  In addition, should I ever go to a 56mm objective, I'll have a mount that can easily handle the upgrade.

Not typical of my character though So, you are insinuating the LT104 is one of the best options? If so, then you are the authority on your product..do tell Too bad the LT807 doesn't have 35 mm rings. 1.375 seems about right |
