Just picked up my first AK, specifically an M77 308 w/3 Mags, unfired in Mitchel Arms box w/certificate of authenticity. Side of receiver has M-90 electroplated over original model, does say " Made in Yugoslavia ". Has side scope military mount. Originally had the thumbhole plastic stock, but there was a regular wood stock and pistol grip that came with the gun...exact same color / finish as the forearm grip. Paid $ 1200, hope it was a good price. Haven't got a chance to fire it yet, but I like the feel of it so far. Can anyone tell me more about this AK. I think it's missing the night sights explained in the manual. Would like to get a scope that can mount on it eventually. I used to have an HK-91 ( real one ), and it was extremely accuhttp://xs107.xs.to/xs107/06405/IMG_0937.jpgrate right out of the box, although it had a heavy trgger pull, and quite the kick. I hope this AK shoots as well. http:// http://xs107.xs.to/xs107/06405/IMG_0954.jpg" border=0 id=img> http:// http://xs107.xs.to/xs107/06405/IMG_0943.jpg xs107.xs.to/xs107/06405/IMG_0940.jpg" border=0 id=img> |

Hi Saromans134...Yeah, pretty sweet looking. A friend of mine Dad passed away and left him a whole bunch (40~50 ) of guns, he had 308 Valmets, Uzi's, Witness 45's, HK-93's ( w/conversion kits ), a large array of standard AK-47's in different calibers, AK-47 sniper rifles w/military scopes attached, sort of a gold mine of original authentic weapons. I could have spent my life savings on what he had for sale. He also had many accessories...that's how I got the wood stock. This rifle looks and feels so much better with the wood stock and pistol grip rather than the original plastic butthole stock. It's missing the night sights and scope....does anyone know where I can pick those items up. At any rate, thanks for your input and response. http://xs207.xs.to/xs207/06405/IMG_0933.jpg |

HelloChefgun, in the Ozark Mountains. GOD BLESS THE US.AND OUR TROOPS!! |
| That is definately better the way you set it up and looks tremendously more comfortable. That is really special that your friends dad was able to pass on that kind of a firearm collection legacy. Sounds like a really great set of guns as well. I never seem to come across estate sales or collections downsizing like that. |
