Hey, I'm 16(will be 17 in a week and a half), and in high school. Wisconsinite my whole life. Since joining arfcom I've acquired 1 AK(SAR-1), 1 shotty(Mossy 590), a pistol(XD9), and 3 rimfires(10/22; MKII; Single-six). There's the prerequisite Savage 110 .30-06 for deer hunting also  . All guns had to be acquired through older family members, of course(the old "Heres a gun son. Oh, heres $400 dad" gift giving circle)

| Hi , I am 16 and live in Texas. Just recently bought an Aresenal Ak-74 (slr-105) and I am now addicted to aks. I also have 2 .22s(for fun) and a Mosin Nagant M1944. :) And I hope to be getting an ak 47 this weekend at a local gun show. But I badly want an SVT-40 cant find any :( |

I don't know HK_DUDE, but neither of us should be here right now. I am only calling him out because I recognize him from the AR forum.  I am only here because of my recent thread regarding the fact that I think my SKS looks far too much like the AK, which I despise for it's affiliations over the years. Many people, even in the AR forum, took alot of time to try to convince me that I was an irrational fool. However, I don't care. Now the thread has been moved to the armory, but I almost hoped it would come here. I stand by my belief, regardless as to wether most find it perfectly logical or not. And, by the way, think how happy it makes M.K. everytime he sees an American with an AK. I am 36, from central NJ, and I hate AK's. They are the weapon of choice of our mortal enemies (as they have been for many years). You all can enjoy yours (I guess), but I will not ever buy one.

Yes, I have seen your picture before on the boards with him. I am sure you realize that just because you've met him does not necessarily make him a good person, but that is beside the point. I should not have posted here the way I did the first time, and I apologize. I am not looking to make enemies. That said, the Russians are feeble allies at the very best. Despite their recent disaster in Belsan (as well as others), they still work closely with Iran, and were working with Iraq until we put a stop to that. China is also close with them. If they ever had to choose sides, I would not feel at all certain they would be with us in a global conflict. |

Always wanted an AK, figured I better get it now since the anti-gun DUMMYCRAUTS will probably be in power in a few months and figured I needed to get it if I wanted it. NRA member, Des Moines Iowa, 2 kids, X-Navy computer dude, the only thing stopping me from buying tonight is I don't know a FFL, worried about ammo availablity and I'm afraid my wife may use it on me! I fired an AK for the first time a couple of weeks ago at the range and now I want one even more. |

| I am 50 years old man and live in Washington State. I am married with two children and am a real estate agent. I own several dozen firearms, but never an AK (had an SKS for a while with thumbhole stock that took AK mags in 7.62X39). I have a birthday coming on the 30th and ordered my first AK47 in 5.45X39 because this was only configuration I could find readily available and 500 rounds of Wolf HP from Sportsman's Guide. Joe here in WYO,..... Cheyenne that is...... I mostly lurk here, spend most of my time on the Surplus Rifle boards, but enjoy the rare post and reading the board and checking out everyone's AK's. Spent some time in the Air force as Security Police/ Security Forces, now a weekend warrior in the ANG. The AF didn't do it for me so now I am a civilian cop, and loving it overall. | 22, mostly a handgun guy, learned all about AK's from this board and picked up a Maadi that fell on a dremel repeatedly until it took hi-cap mags. In the process of getting parts for compliance with 922r. I am a devout HK fan but there is just something about AK's that enthralls me. |

Part of a local historical group so me, my dad and brother have WWII vehicles, uniforms, equipment and weapons. Just got a Yugo underfolder and will start on it soon. Building a Romy for my dad. |

33 with 2 kids and a wife who has put up with my crap for 11 years. I just got my first ak built for me from AFSOC who is a complete gun whore and turning me into one as well. Terry from Ohio here. Just got into AK's this year. Built one, got a couple other kits. I love AK's, just wish I could find more ammo. I've mostly been into pistols, ARs and M1s. The real dark side is shotgun sports. Don't start or you'll get sucked in. (and that means fewer AK kits.) One can get a lot of AK stuff for the price of an entry level O/U. ($1200) |

My name's Andrew, I'm 24, single, I live on the coast in MS (Katrina's eye hit HERE damnit, Pearlington, MS- NO got the EASY side of the storm) and was working construction (rebuilding), but have shifted over to groundskeeping. AR-180B was my first centerfire rifle (had shot centerfire rifles maybe 10 times throughout my life before that). Finally got the rifle I wanted ever since I first saw it: an AK-74 clone in 5.56. Hey y'all I'm Charlie, 20y/o, single, Florida native, no kids as of yet. Bought my first AK; WASR-10, about 5 days ago. Rifle, 2 clips and 333 rounds for $275. Other than that I have my .22 I got when I was 10, and a double barrel black powder shot gun I inheirated from my grandparents. Saw the movie Lord of War and became infatuated with my friends cousins WASR. |

22 yo ninja stationed in Okinawa. Got a refinished SAR-1 that I bought like 3 years ago from an arfcom member back in Arizona with way too many mags (1k rounds ready when loaded). Makes me wish I was back at home sometimes
