I always wanted a Hungarian AK55 and was lucky to snag this build with # matched parts and purple bolt and I did the receiver sling tab conversion myself to finish it off.

Damn Bro, nice stick, couldn't help but notice the crack on the stock on the 2nd picture towards the rear tang, looks pretty big too, how's it holding up?

Its only a sliver on outside that looks worse in pics than in person. I think leaving it alone vs a repair attempt it would still probably live longer than me lol Through my research of the square marking on the stock appears to be an original Russian type 1 buttstock too.

I wouldn't mess with it either at that point. Does look pretty bad from the pictures though, but a stock that is likely over 65 years old, and still rocking ain't bad at all though, probably will out live you lol.

Thanks man! I'm using Bulgarian 5.45 magazines in the 106 but they have the old school Roberson Arms .223 followers in them. I also had to file a little material off the feed lips because my bolt was dragging when cycling but it seems to be working fine now and they fit 30 rounds comfortably.

Rear end was converted by the importer, I converted the front end with a friend’s guidance. This gun has an incorrect bullet guide welded in, so it’s probably going to M13 for replacement soon. Feeding isn’t quite perfect.

At the time all the Bulgarian 4 piece were sold out. I bought the Cncwarrior 4 piece with the Bonesteel brace on a 15% off sale.

I then painted it with flat black ceramic paint and applied a light layer of lube.

I'm not a purist, so I'm okay with after market as long as it performs as good or better.

Actual Type 56, from State Factory 66 in the Bei-An, China (yes it’s on a Form 4).

Magpul furniture cuz some of the previous furniture was hit by artillery fire and then left on the jungle floor for a bit.

ETA: Looks like my BRN-180 has a similar grip (TangoDown BG, maybe?)
