Refinished the furniture myself. Jadnil wood pistol grips. Two WASR 10/63s. Sanded off the old finish, stained with some varathane and minwax, slapped on a few coats of linseed oil, and did a very light "shading" with a blow torch. Few more coats of linseed oil, few days of drying, and a few coats of semi-gloss clear coat. |

I wanted to get into the AK life and the WASR was the least expensive option. I have been working on rifles for some time and I thought that it would be nice to take a rough yet reliable rifle like the WASR and see just how clean I could get it. I will make one thing clear, this rifle is functional and eats up anything I feed it. It may be clean but it goes through the paces and keeps up with anything I throw at it. |
