Hey Airborne, what mount is that with the MRDS? Is it the supplied one in the Mil-Package?

Yep, that is the one that comes with the military package, I am using the steel protective hood as well.  I can get some close up pictures if you would like.

My camera is not the best, but let me know if you want any more pictures of it.  You can see from the back view that it does not cowitness.

I've added a TWS Top cover rail to my Yugo under folder.
I mistakenly bought the one with the front leaf sight.....and I bought the rear peep sight as well.
Cant really use the rear peep sight with the front leaf sight....so I'll be sending that back to Primary Arms on Monday.
I put a Burris Fast Fire III on the rail. Plan on taking it to the range later this month to see how well everything runs.

Also, here are some pics of my friend's Norinco RPK. He's the second owner and the first owner cleaned up and refinished the wood in this beautiful blond color.
I've already told him that he ever wants to sell it, I want first crack it.

First AK and a work in progress, I could not let it sit in my house with the horable tapco and utg furnature, it will have to wait for my MI,USpalm, and Rifle Dynamics goodies,.

Picked up another AK last week.  This one is a Arsenal SLR-106FR, love the folding stock for discrete carry.

Have a Manticore Nightshroud on the way which will make it fit perfect in the case, bulgy brake is just a tad to long.

As others have posted it is a bone steel folder.

To install its as easy as swapping the stock out, no tang cutting involved.

You can shoot it folded, however it doesn't lock in place.

It is VERY secure when extended.

It started life as plain jane SGL21, but I bought the Russian stock setup, and sent it off to tubothis (Matt Yeamans), and he worked his magic. All of the rivet heads are perfectly formed, and you can't tell the machine work from factory.

Arsenal of Bulgaria produces a lot of milled side folders, since that is primarily what their military uses.

I haven't seen any listed on their website.

Do you by any chance know what model number(s) they are?
I'm interested specifically in a 7.62x39 variant.

The milled side folders put out by Arsenal Inc out of Las Vegas have been out of production for quite some time.

It'll grow on you, trust me, I did the same thing to my Polytech.
Its serial designates it as a galil style sidefolder, but who knows how it ended up with a wood stock instead...
Nice Strike Hard Gear rig, I've got one and love it.
Should've been this stock:

Added a piece of foam tubing to make the jaw weld comfortable

I actually saw your rifle with the wood and side folder on google images and it help inspire me to get one

Its not as comfortable as the chicom stock I replaced it with (which I think are the most comfortable factory style) but its growing on me and I'm willing to give up a little comfort for the folding option..have you tried a tennis racket bag with yours? I'm hoping it will fit for discreet transport

ETA: BTW what muzzle device are you using? I am planning to go with a 84s birdcage style from CNC Warrior but I like the looks of yours.
Link Posted: 5/18/2013 5:37:51 PM EDT
[#40]
In that case, you made an excellent choice
The muzzle device is a Manticore Night Brake.
Don't know about the tennis racket bag, but these are ideal (pricy though) :
