Ordered a Odin Works 12.5 keymod rail to go a BF Schuyler Arms BA barrel, cant wait for them to get here. Also got a AP bcg on sale at Schuyler, good deals there. Wilson Combat midlength adjustable gas block/tube unit was reasonable, hope it works as advertised. M5 stripped upper from Brownells on a JMT 80% lower. Still thinking about a muzzle device, leaning towards a Rainier Arms Compensator for 79.95.

When looking for handgurds for the M5...which DPMS rifle is it based off of. MI lists by model and not by high or low.

ZQI 308 is 5" inch ammo at 100 out of my Rainier Match Select. It functions though.

Finally got mine out today. I wanted to make sure everything worked before I Cerakoted it, and it ran like a champ. The bolt was super tight, but I think it just needs worn in.
I blasted 60 rounds of M80 to get a copper base and then sent some 175gr FGMM through it. Groups were great---1/2 minute. I need to take it past 600 yards and true my algorithm on Applied Ballistics, though. It says I'm at 2700fps with a 16" barrel. (That would be great, right? ) |

I ordered a Lpk and upk from schuyler and it was supposed to be delivered on Say The last scan was on the 3rd leaving AZ. So I have lower and upper with in the Tipton gun vise just sitting here and the barrel should ship today or tomorrow, but who knows if it will make it here. What are my potions for getting these parts again?

I got an email from Samson. They have an evolution series rail that will fit the M5, but you have to call to order it as it isn't up on the website. No idea if it is the keymod or the regular evolution rail.
Now I just need to decide if I want to go that route or with the centurion rail |

I just started my first AR build, I decided to do a LR-308 based build that will be chambered in 45 Raptor to use for hunting in southern lower Michigan. I found a great deal on the M5 receiver set through Schuyler Arms. It will take me a little while to finish it, I am calling it my Johnny Cash gun build, because I am getting it one piece at a time!

He had over 1200 orders in 3 days based on his pricing.....I saw a pile of processed packages with labels yesterday at his shop that would fill the back of my truck. He's working it. Picked up ALOT of stuff as well over the last week.

Ballistic advantage sent Schuyler the wrong barrels by accident. Chris caught it and received the correct barrels yesterday. Things happen when BF deals are so hot, no biggie, they should ship ASAP

I made two separate orders from Schuyler one on 11/25 (upper, lower, BCG, CH, and LPK) then a second order on 11/27 for the M5 carbine buffer,spring, stock kit... I asked for combined shipping and was told they would. How that would have been pulled off given the amount of orders would have been impressive...
Well...I got the second order today with nothing included from the first... Looks like the first order is on the way as I still have two tracking numbers (lowe to my dealer, the rest to me)... so progress is being made. |

Great Now I have to contact him and find out. It only took 8 days to get the parts kits in 2 day priority mail. Also where are you guys getting parts I am looking for a adjustable gas block and a mid length gas tube and rail and stock and all I can find is ar15 parts, but Magpul has a few AR10 stocks.

I put this together for $1650 on Black Friday.
Basically the same stats as the 18" Aero full rifle but includes a Geissele ssa-e, BCM comp, BCM charging handle, Magpul Pro offset irons, and a nickel boron bcg for less $$$!

I bought a complete upper from Aero since I don't have any 308 vice blocks and this is likely my one and only. |
