ARMS #22 M68, Larue BUIS, KAC RAS II, Vltor stock......"Beyond Standar Issue", Ban Him! Fuggit, I'll cheat too: |

What sling are you using? I really like that! |
CQB Solutions(Now Spectre Gear) 3 point SOP Sling with Transition Release Buckle-An Arfcom favorite. It allows one to transition from right to left side very quickly/easily when, releasing the TRB. The 2" width as compare to standard 1" or 1.5" webbing is WAAAAY more comfortable while at low/high ready during extended periods(in My case drilling sessions). |

I recently got my first M4gery too (Bushy Patrolman) coming from a V-Match and Dissipator. I found the carbine site radius a non issue. Matter of fact, I prefer shooting the carbine.

Nice. That's exactly how many of my unit's M16A4s looked. The Army's basic optic is the M68 CCO. Everyone in the unit got RAS M5s, but not all were issued M68s. The remainder used irons or personal optics (we had a few soldiers with Cmores, OKOs, Eotechs, and ACOGs). Optics are in short supply in the Army; although, I heard lately it's been getting better.

More A4s please. I just picked up a M5 Ras in the EE for a A4gery, and I don't even have a 20" upper yet.. Damn this BRD..

What buis and acog are you using? |
That's fucked up. My entire ITB battalion had an M68 for every rifle. BCTB guys were using M-16A2's though. |
where can someone get a M68 ? I'd like to stick to the original one..
thanks !! |
It's an aimpoint CompM2 |
KAC 300m and TA31F |

Those barrels seem to like ammo that's on the strong side, they don't do well with underpowered brands, specially if you're using an M16 bolt carrier. My advice would be, stick to milsurplus or just military ammo or even just any ammo that you know is hot and or good quality, doing so will give you 100% reliability results or at least that has been my own experience, and since i'm already here...... And here she is in action... . HUNTER. |

i've seen LMT SOPMODS, TROY BUIS, Larue Mounts, and pretty much everything that doesn't classify it as a military M4gery or A4gery....seriously this might as well be just another part of the picture thread lol
I have made a copy of my M-16 I carried in the field with a A2 upper Eotech on M5 rails and a collasable stock but that is one of the good things about being an officer people dont give you too much crap for doing things to A2's as they do M4's. Could not get a M4 since I was on a staff. I will post picks if you want. EOTECH is back about to be shipped back to EOTECH due to damage.
Like I said if you want pics I will post. It was good to have the odd weapon but being on convoys with Army troops and I was wearing DCUs made me a target I think even more. |
Whip 'em out, hounddog!!! and what happened to the EO? |
Koalorka,
That A4 is right on the money. Good Job.
Nice. I guess I'm going to have to rename this Gov't M4/M16A4 Clone/"Real"/Beyond "Standard Issue" Pic thread. |

Never counted the panel ribs. I just cut down to fit. Took the picture of the older Carbine while I was in the process of coating the lower to match the upper with Norrell's. Got all the parts on it now.
All three are on MT6400C lowers. The older Carbine is a surplused 1995 Colt M4 upper with a SDI muzzle do dad. The newer Carbine is a surplused 2000 M4A1 upper with a SDI muzzle do dad, RAS and Comp M2. The rifle was built with a factory original M16A4 upper, TA31F, RAS, and one of those buttstock mag holder deals. I like the 550 corded Aimpoint, and the serial numbered buttstock on yours. Need to do that to mine.
Me like, me like. |

Very nice set up. I'm hunting for a TA-31F for my 20" AR. |
Well got hit on one of the convoys I was in. I have a pick somewhere that EOTECH wanted me to send in I will have to find it at home.

Here is my Colt LE Carbine with a few accessories. I carry this rifle in my police unit daily.

BEAUTIFUL RIFLES GUYS AND I ENVY YOU GUYS W/ ACOGS!!!
Guys my A4gery build is starting and this one is gonna be to spec w/ the A4's in the .mil Oh ya and this is on a budget....except when I have to splurge for the TA31F So far I have Superior Arms lower w/ LPK (bought for $136) Colt 1/7 20" Gov't Profile (bought for $190) Knights M5 RAS w/ two full rib panels and VFG (bought for $200) Needing to buy A2 complete stock kit (I got rid of my Colt Stock awhile ago...dumbass mistake on my part) A few more rib panels Upper (no m4 cuts) w/ BCG TA31F Gotta start somewhere |
EOTECH is busted red dot is not bright any longer. I thought I had sent it off on Monday but I guess I did not. Good company they said they will try and get it ready to go and all I have to pay is shipping.
The A2 upper and the Collasable stock is not commen. Like I said I had a lot of leeway to do things do to the job. I just convince a Armorer to do it for me after I found him a few dozen SAW barrels he needed. I got some stares but not much talking too I guess being a AF Officer makes people think AF does their own things anyway. Hound |
All Colt as I suspected Very Nice. I figured the para cord and rack # as finishing touches............. But how about a BUIS(KAC 300 Mt. or Matech) first? ffGroundhog- Now that is one well used Eotech. I used to live a couple blocks down the street from them and have toureed/visited the place several times. Top notch people/product and service. |
Sounds good, But don't Forget the BUIS!(Primary) Keep us posted. |
i'm holdin off on the BUIS for awhile....until I get the acog i'm gonna throw my BUIS on my A4gery from my carbine and just use my M2 for my carbine....neither one is for home defense and they're only gonna see range time for now but i will have a BUIS on it eventually....you see if i wasn't a dumbass i wouldn't have sold off my carry handle....and then i would have been fine til i got my acog...but....i'm a dumbass and i needed the cash at the time |

Someone IM'd me inquiring what brand my sling and mag pouch are (see page 2). So if anyone else is wondering...
My sling is by Tactical Operations Products (TOPS). I originally used a tactical sling by CQB Solutions (now called Specter Gear), but the older style quick release buckle broke half way through my tour. TOPS = www.google.com/search?hl=en&lr=&q=tactical+operations+products+sling I bought it at the PX (FOB Warhorse, Iraq). However, most everyone bought and used the "Black Mamba" sling by SpecOps Brand, but I preferred the TOPS since it was wider and had a quick release buckle. I notice that the new Mamba slings have improved. They all now come with a quick release buckle, and the Mamba "Geronimo" version has a wider strap so it won't dig into your shoulder... pretty cool. Mamba slings = specopsbrand.com/Categories.asp?CatID=5 My mag pouch is by SpecOps Brand. It's what everyone used over there because, again, that's what they had at the PX. specopsbrand.com/ProductDetails.asp?ProductID=7 |

Aimpoint Comp M's are also issued under the M68 nomenclature. |

You fellows are making me want to leave my retro trend and spend money I don't have.
