That is a good-looking rifle! Makes me miss my old Bushmaster A2 HBar.

Inspiring build...makes me regret getting rid of my last Windham Bushmaster.
Nice bud |

I've had that same build on the backburner for about 5 years. Only difference in mine is a Colt 1/7 Heavy bbl and minus the PEQ2.
Looks great! S/F Al |

Well, since I found out that Haley had a match trigger in the Bushmaster he used in Najaf and not knowing which one (probably a LMT, RRA, or KAC), I decided to use the Geissels SSA-E. It arrived a short while ago and is now installed and ready for the range in the next couple of days.

Very nice rifle. Wasn't Haley a member here under the handle Simply Dynamic?

Anyone know the story on how he got the rifle? Did he built it or did black water build it?

I've got a 16" 1/9 E.R. Shaw BBL AR and @ 100yds. I can hold my groups under 1" with B/H 77gr. TMK's with no "key holing". At 300yds. I can ring a 8" plate, if I'm on my game using a 1x6x24 scope. Have not attempted to bulls eye shoot it at 200/300yds. on paper yet, have to wait until the snow melts. I don't think it's going to be that much of a problem to achieve decent accuracy. 10RINGhttps://www.ar15.com/images/smilies/icon_smile_cool.gif View Quote |

I finally made it to the range this morning with this rifle and an A4 clone I just built. Once I had the scope dialed in (only 100 yards), I was able to reset the turret caps to the zero settings. I love how this scope works. I only took some American Eagle XM193 and some ZQ1 SS109/M855 with me. Sighted in with the 55 gr. and had a little fun with it. Then, I moved onto the 62 gr. and had a little more fun. The 1/9 barrel really delivered some good accuracy with both of the types of ammo. After getting on target, I decided to shoot at some wood fragments laying up on the berm. It is nice to have the accuracy to shoot at a small piece of wood from about 120 yards away and bounce it around. This rifle is a keeper.

Years ago I had that upper. The 20" HBAR was very accurate. I regret selling it sometimes.
Which "laser" box are you using? |

Very nice job, brother! It is such a good job that it is hard to tell any differences between the original and your clone build. That rail is very clean-looking!

Awesome build! Ive been wanting to build one of these for a few years. I chose to do a MK12 Mod1 clone instead but now i'm thinking I might have a new project once that one is finished.
