Excellent gas blocks I use them in all my AR builds. There simple and they work what more could you ask for!

Wish I had seen this a couple months back. I'd have sprung for this one instead of the Seekins unit I bought.
Nice looking gas block guys! -ZA |
|
I like!
Question: In the description you wrote "12 positions" but on the packaging in the photo it says "16." I'm assuming the 12 is a typo? |

I just ordered mine yesterday (as well as x2 of the billet AK to AR grip adapters). I've been wanting to order the grip adapters for a while now and when I saw the single tool adj. gas block I decided I "need" one of those also. So far the comms have been as prompt and polite as any I've ever experienced buying gun parts. Keep up the good work!

It wouldn't fit in my DD lite rail (pistol length gas tube for a 300 aac), 9" rail. Just wouldn't go through the back end of the rail. So I will save it for some future project.
|
|
I'll look into the DD Lite thing. I have 2 SBR's with Lite HG's and DA7's on them.

When did you release the 2nd generation, and how do they differ from the 1st generation? IE, what's improved about them?
Thanks! |
|
We made a couple small changes to the screw bore, the screw itself and made a slight profile change to the gas block(cosmetic). Just things we learned to make them even easier to use and make the actual maintenance zero. Thousands of rounds full auto on suppressed SBR's will tell you things. LoL
Jan 2013 is when the Gen 2's started getting out there. If anyone has a DA7 from 2011 or 2012 and would like an updated adjustment screw just contact us through the website and I'll put one in the mail for you on us. |

I am currently running two of the 1st gen DA7's on a AR15 and one on my LR308. Both blocks work great. I initially tried a Syrac but it would not shut off the gas for my suppressor and was harder to adjust. I switched to the DA7 and never looked back. These are hands down the best I have found.
I do want to try the new 2nd gen screws. Buy with confidence!!!! |

Here is a quick video of the DA7. Forgive me on the quality. Macbook Pro cam is pretty lame.

Any updates for an extended adjustment tool for pistol length gas systems with a 10in ff rail (DDlite in particular)
|

I would buy right now if there was a clamp version!

Ahh, yes please release a .625. I need a replacement for the Syrac I have and run the DD lw pencil barrel.
Ohh, can't wait! |

Ha! They are coming along with .625. Thanks! I am down for one! |

Amazingly it was in my mailbox 24hrs later. Although I did not realize I'm about 50 miles away from your location.
Quick question. Locked all the way down is complete gas shut off. 12 clicks out is open as if it where standard gas black? BTW...excellent fit and finish. |

Will they work under a NSR? I'll let you know tomorrow. But compared to a Noveske block they should |

They are on the Intagrex now. SWEEEET!!!!!!...... Um... oh, what's an Intagrex??? |

Damn it, Todd! I can't wait to get the hand guard but now I need one of these! I might have to sell my Seekins gas block to buy it.

Did you guys get anything figured out tool wise yet to adjust the block when running a pistol length gas sytem under a 10.5in handguard?

View Quote All that is needed is a 2mm 5" ball hex driver We ship with a 3.5". I have the longer ones on the way just specify in your order and Ill include the long driver at no charge. We are running .875" after the .625 /.750" clamp ons are done being machined. The .875"s will only work with .308 pattern AR's and a straight gas tube. I will have the clamp on DA7 pics up shortly Todd@SLR |

Yes! It will fit under any HG that has the channel for the gas block/tube.
Tubular HG's with BOLT-ON top rails are the ones the DA7 may not fit. The Hogue and JP HG's are the only ones that may not fit that we know of. |

does gas pressure change with heavier grain loads? I have a 7.62x40 Wilson barrel and bolt carrier isn't coming all the way back when firing. I would think bigger rounds would increase pressure. |

View Quote Not enough info really.. Usually heaver bullets use less powder. 300BLK subs (200-220gr )requires a large gas port to run an AR compared to a supersonic load). You may have a couple of things going on... Stock gas port ? Stock gas block/ aligned? Ammo MFG? good gas rings? Gas Key secure? An adjustable gas block does no good if the gas port is undersize to start with. Thats pretty rare on a factory BBL though. Give a call if you want to discuss. Todd@SLR 855 757 7435 |

Hey Todd!
I currently have a DD factory pinned .625" LPGB. What do you recommend as a replacement, set screw or clamp on? If I could, I would have a gunsmith pin on a .625" set screw one, are you going to make one (set screw .625")? |
