Hey Todd! I currently have a DD factory pinned .625" LPGB. What do you recommend as a replacement, set screw or clamp on? If I could, I would have a gunsmith pin on a .625" set screw one, are you going to make one (set screw .625")? View Quote Its up to you. I see no problem with either way of securing the gas block. 50% want clamp on and the other 50% want set screws. The both do the job. Pinned is good for the mind if you life is riding on the rifle. We are doing .625" in both clamp on and set screw. Todd |

Hey Todd, I just recieved the DA7 and barrel. Just need to pick up a carbine length gas tube. Remarkable craftsmanship. I will definitely use these gas blocks for my other 2 builds!

What are the height and width specs on the 0.750 inch clamp-on version?
Will the 0.750 inch clamp-on fit under the new UTG Pro 9 inch "smooth" free float handguard tube? When will the 0.750 inch clamp-on version be on the website? Will the 0.750 inch clamp-on version be the same price as the set screw version? I got a Secuity Certificate warning/failure on the your website when I went to "check-out". |

Hmmm..... great concept! Any plans to support a .936" barrel?? Just finishing up a Lilja AR-24 barreled build, this would be very nice on it!

Looks like we are going to make a run of .875's and .936' Clamp on DA series gas blocks. We will be announcing a pre order for these as soon as this .625" and .750" Clamp on production run is completed.

What's the status on the clamp on Gas Blocks? Still scheduled for late August?

..and the other 50% of us want pinned. You should make a pilot hole, and include a pin with the set screw model. I'd get really excited about that. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted:

Yeah. That would be cool. Then there wouldn't have to be a separate pinned model. It would just be the Set screw/Pinned or the Clamp version.

Todd - Do you recommend placing a thread locker fluid on the screw threads of the clamp-on model ?

Todd - Do you recommend placing a thread locker fluid on the screw threads of the clamp-on model ? If I could chime in, I use blue loctite on my UTG quad rail gas block. It was pretty solid. It took some force to unscrew and the gas block was still pretty well clamped on.. |

View Quote Yo send me that one haha |

I was about to buy the set screw version. Now I think I will wait for the clamp version.
The end of the month is just right around the corner. Are you still on track to for the end of August? My rail will be delivered sometime next week, so this would be great timing. |

Gocha. Yeah I read about people doing that as well. It would be cool to see a pinned/set screw model in one. I'm still going with the clamp version :D.

Its a 2mm ball end. We supply a 3.5" long wrench. I have some 6" ones ordered. Not sure when the will ever show up.

I'm ready to buy one of the soon-to-be-released .936" models. Clamp-on or set-screw doesn't matter a whole lot to me. Either version would be more of what I'm looking for than anyone else's offerings from what I've seen. Can I pay in advance to get one of the first ones?

My custom build rifle isn't complete without the Clamp .75 adjustable gas block! I am rifle-less without it. I might opt to buying a generic pinned low profile block if the delay for this one is too long. Will it at least be ready for this month? Also, any word on the price?
Thanks |
|
I too have a custom rifle build eagerly awaiting a .75 clamp. Possible updated timeline would be appreciated; possible pre-order method would be awesome.

2 weeks the first batch will be ready.
Thanks for all the patience. .625 and .750 are both running now. I'll post some pics of the batch that went to plating when I get back to the office. Todd@SLR |

Can you update us on an ETA? It is the last part I need for my rifle :). Thanks!
|

Sweet looking gas block...can't wait to add it to my cart! Todd, any ETA on the rumored 13.5" & 14" Intrepid HG's in keymod?

Me, too! I've got my credit card ready! Mine is the one on the right (assuming it's .936" diameter).
