I designed a block for my gas block to support it during installation of the gas tube. I took the measurements and to create an exact opposite of the gas block in auto desk inventor and then sent it over to the 3d printer. Waiting results. SLR MIGHT WANT TO TAKE NOTES

?

Just thinking you could probly sell a bunch of block tools if you made them. I would I buy one. I love the gas blocks you make. And sorry if I sounded snarky on the take notes part didn't mean it that way. Just giving you an idea

Ahhh yes.....The DA7-SAT (Satellite)

I will be releasing some info any day now. Actually we have 2 new DA versions coming next week and a who new ballgame coming by the end of the month.

It will not replace the DA series just compliment and fill in some gaps like small I.D.tube handguards, buried gas blocks and a slick toolless adjuster.

The Nexturn Swiss CNC is working overtime on this one. All stainless internals.

Stay tuned...

Ordered mine a couple days ago. Can't wait!! Happy to replace my Syrac with the SLR product.

I'm looking forward to the new tool-less variant also.

Just my .02, and not to be critical by any means... If SLR introduced melonited or IonBonded stainless construction and cleaned up some of the machine finishes, the Syrac would have nothing over the SLR. That's not even getting into a discussion regarding customer service where Todd really shines.

ThanksTodd, my DA-7 SSC arrived today, trading Florida sunshine for California sunshine.  Just finished the test fit on a 13.7" Rainier Ultramatch Barrel, under a Geissele MK2 13" rail.  The Rainier barrel has a dimple predrilled that aligns perfectly with the rear set screw...what a bonus.  Just waiting on a Flaming Pig to arrive to be pinned & welded.  Then I'll dial this agb in properly.

I was waiting for another company for the last few months to get one of their set screw detent ajustable blocks, not knowing about SLR or this thread.  I just got off the phone with SLR this afternoon and placed an order for the DA7.  Glad I called and spoke to SLR.  Seems like a great company.

So does anyone know if the DA9 would work on a JP medium contour 18 in barrel and fit under a troy alpha rail? this is going to be a 5.56 gun if it matters.

Does the new DA8-C still need a straight gas tube or can we use regular gas tubes now?

Does a DA7 clamp-on have any clearance issues underneath a JP modular hand guard?

Does anyone have a pic of any version of the DA that is either partially or fully exposed in front of the gas block?

Thinking of putting a DA8 on a rifle length system in front of a 12" rail and was wondering what it would look like before committing thanks.

I am going to be running a pistol-length gas system under a 10" rail, so I am (im)patiently waiting to see the new tool-less block. I literally have everything ready... Just in a holding pattern for the gas block.

If it's  carbine gas  under a 15" HG I'd wait. If it's rifle gas then our current gas blocks are fine.

If your gas block is more than 4 inches under the  HG the the new DA7-SAT will be the ticket.

Thank you! Todd@SLR

well its a mid-length gas system on a 16" barrel, but the rail is a 15" rail so it will be tucked up in there a ways. whats the ETA on the new block? im kind of impatient :) lol

Todd, didn't see this HG mentioned...

Will the DA7-C work on 14.5 middy with YHM Todd Jarrett 12" handguard?  I think the DA7 will be in range of the existing adjuster.

I guess you never really said how many hours.

I am seriously holding up a build (every other part is in hand and ready to roll) to see what this new remote block looks like and/or how it is adjusted.

Are you attending SHOT and could you bring a .625 clamp on by the Bill Wiseman Ballistics booth?

A fist full of $$$ would await you there.

Don't be surprised if it takes him a while to get back as they are very busy with the new model production and getting ready for SHOT show
