I had a 249f on there since it’s a NSW recce clone. The 249f adds significant length and has the ping when you shoot it that gets annoying. So I put the 249f aside so I can put it back to clone if need be and decided to give the triple tap a try. It definitely cuts some length off. I probably won’t make any friends with anyone shooting next to me. |

View Quote Something that always interests me on this guy is its yet another oddball PRi tube in mil use. There are rifle length PRi tubes with 8, 9, and 10 (standard) upper vent holes. This one looks like it may be an 8 but hard to tell with the tape switch location. Know it's not a 10 because that'd be visible at the back side. Not to mention yet another one with non-standard rail holes. Either way, I've got a perfect tube here to start to clone it with but I keep waffling if I want to bother. Attached File |

The tanno 3.5-10 is something I may end up with, but I haaaate the open tmr center :/ I had a 4-16x42 ATACR on this gun and replaced it with the Mark 5HD. Truthfully, they’re very similar in features. The glass on the Leupold is slightly brighter to my eyes although there’s a bit more CA. The Leupold is also smaller and lighter. Realistically they’re very similar in cost when comparing illuminated models, so just depends on what features you prioritize. Either is going to be significantly better than a Mk4, especially most of the .mil kosher models. |
