Absolute tits^

As are the rifles on page 181. I have nothing of value to contribute otherwise. Worth the infraction.

Carry on.

Mounted the 2.5-10x24 up. Still one of my favorite guns I’ve built.

Besides the ambitious safety and bipod I've carried that under fire. I'd have no hesitation to ride the river with it again

Swapped some stuff around on the SBR. I'll put the #54 riser back on once I find a 511, the overhang with the 557 was getting to me. Looking for a VITAL for this, a 2 would suffice or a 100 if I really wanted a lightsaber. The #45M, #23, and PEQ-2 will live on my 14.5" once I get it back from John Thomas. Probably gonna run a TA33 in the A.R.M.S. mount they made for it, would be pretty neat.

They're great, really wish I was about ten years older so I could have snagged a bunch when they were in production. I keep postponing buying new A.R.M.S. stuff cause I really ought to focus on building guns to put all my junk on, but every time I check the website more and more stuff keeps selling out. Honestly debating whether I should open a new credit card and just get everything they still have left

Kind of GWOT’ish with the QRF. Can’t decide between an EOTech/magnifier or maybe a 1-6 PST II. Wish I had gone with the KAC covers but still has the A2’ish vibe I was looking for.

So, I picked up one of the $90 20" HBARs from Schuyler, and now I want to build something GWOT inspired.  I'm going for the Haley Najaf look, but there's no way I'm going to find the A.R.M.S. rail.  Any suggestions on other GWOT style handguards?

Those 12 inch rails seem pretty difficult to find nowadays too, at least for less than Larue’s new pricing.

I’d prefer something that uses the milspec barrel nut, since it’s already installed behind the FSB.

The Centurion C4 fits on milspec barrel nuts, and those are only like $280 or so

Midwest Ind has a 2 piece free float for $230. Could probably be found cheaper unless you have MIL/LEO discount, which MI offers.

A buddy of mine had one on his M4 in Iraq 2008-09. I thought it was so cool.

I bought one of those a while back, but it was broken and Leupold sadly couldn't fix it. At least I got a free Mark 4HD out of it, kinda wish I still had the CQ/T though. They're cool

Still have a soft spot for them. Larry Vickers mentions in an interview that Delta approached a company about the concept but they weren’t happy with what they came up with, leading to them reaching out to S&B to create the Short Dot. He never names the company but it’s pretty evident the CQT was the first attempt.

They may have gone a little overboard but they were the pioneers of tactical LPVO’s. A modern version would be pretty awesome with some changes. Like a VCOG but super light.
