How were you able to preorder it? I need an AEM5 badly.

Cap Arm is good people. I drive 3 hours to deal with them, happily. Never been disappointed by them. I once got a can from SiCo through them that didn't have a piston and they pulled one out of stock to complete my order. Very good dealer.

There's potential here, though. Just depends on how much you hate money. Are you prepared to offer sacrifice to the GWOT gods?

Well turns out the 13.2” Larue quad I got was a fake. Sent it back to the seller and got a refund. Larue said it’s a 2 month back order. I have a 20” 1-7.7 twist Krieger on the way so now I gotta figure out what I want to do with it. It’ll be cut down so that it sits flush with an AEM5, but what handguard should I go with? I have a URX 3.1 and a 15” MK4. Kinda leaning MK4 and cutting the rail for a PRI or Wilson flip up front sight.

If you’re talking about the Larue I bought on Reddit’s Gun Accessories for Sale sub Reddit. They have a policy against counterfeit items so once I found out, the guy returned the money and took it back. Got the Krueger off there too.

Mk4 would leave you with the most barrel left to work with. That's my vote, but only for the length.

I might feel differently if I didn't have a 5000, but I wouldn't hesitate to slap a PRO on one. Newer internals, same body as the Comp M2. 9000 is also a solid choice. IIRC someone in here (might have been the other thread) used a 9000 and it's wildly similar. I've even tossed around the idea of selling my 5000 and getting a 9000.

Start spamming refresh on the EE. That’s what I had to do for a few months.

I’ve also seen a decent amount of 2000, 3000, and 5000 on Armslist. Bunch of old guys have them mounted on their revolvers.

I gotta get some 1.125 rings because that Larue mount looks goofy AF on top of the SIR. It's a heavy bitch but everything I hoped it would be. I might remove the front bottom portion to shave some weight

Scored a Ballistic advantage 11.5” for $85 from Primary Arms, so I finally built up the URX II that’s been sitting in the parts pin. Had to drill through the rivets for the heat guard cause I’m gonna be pinning the G block. But here she is. Thinking either a ta31 or Comp M2 for this one. After the form 1 suppressor I’ll be going for a Form 1 lower.

Correct lower is “M16 A2 Carbine”. Correct barrel is typically an A1 pencil profile at 14.5 as the old AEM suppressor could be ran with a 14.5 (See early versions of Colt 723/727 rifles). Nowadays you can get away with a 12.5 govt. or M4 barrel as that will flush fit the AEM5.

Gordon carbines and OGS rifles are just awesome, simple rifles with everything you need. It’s a testament to a bunch of badass guys throwing together a combination of the rifles that were available to them along with the new technology of that time period.

Canadian C7 uppers. Although, A2 would be period correct as well. I have an A2 on mine due to it being period correct vs. using a new production C7.

Here’s my lower as well. As close as you’ll get to clone correct unless you somehow hit the M16 lottery.
