Anyone have a PRI Mk12 upper they’re looking to sell or have any leads on one?

What would be an acceptable replacement to the KAC Mk12 rail for a Mod 1 build? I feel like I’m going to have too tough of a time finding one. Was thinking a LaRue quad rail.

Dobs showed me one that was going for stupid money on Gunbroker. They're just OOS at retailers so folks are getting nervous. Seems that happens to everything these days. TP, ammo, wood, now add FF RAS long to the list.

Then once they sell out everywhere and KAC shows out of stock, everyone freaks and starts paying stupid money for them. You’ll usually see a lot of the same people dumping them whenever they go out of stock. Kac will do another run and resupply everyone then the cycle will repeat. Unless Kac has come out and said they have discontinued the rail, although I haven’t heard or seen that anywhere. So best thing to do is wait it out and there will be another run eventually. |

You can still build a badass rifle with the LT (I’m going with one for my carry handle Gordon’ish thing) it just won’t be a Mk12, and that’s perfectly fine. |

ETA: I wonder what the lead times on the LaRue quad rails are. Might be the deciding factor. |

That’s when I bought the fake one. I’ve been searching for a 13.2 putting WTB ads here and on Reddit. The quote also makes me happier and more confident in this build. The rifle length NSW must live. |

All this talk of Gordon carbines got me thinking and looking at the parts bin a little differently. This is an older 6920 barrel chopped by Adco and mounted on a set of Armalite receivers from about ‘09, sprayed with Norrell’s, skinny handguards, side sling mount, ARMS sight, etc. All makes for a neat little SBR host for the AEM5.

Thanks for the comments, I dig the setup too! I know this is tech but also wonder whether laying on the red leather “bordello” couch is influencing her looks. Will take some less provocative and hopefully clearer shots when I’m home again. In the meantime here she is sans AEM5. I probably should chop the now useless bayo lug, but it doesn’t interfere so we’ll see.

Finally got a 14.5 P+W upper. I'm amazed at how short and small it feels with the CAR stock. Its giving me ideas for some more 14.5 builds... I actually plan on keeping a red dot on this rifle, but now I kind of want another Block 1 for an ACOG. Still need a dedicated lower and correct rear sight for this one. Is one KAC rear sight better than the other for actual use?
Attached File On a related note, I don't know if I can live with a 16 inch for my RIS II. I feel the need to build a proper Block II with an Elcan. Attached File |

I want an FF RAS bad but I've heard through the grapevine that KAC is discontinuing it for good to focus on their other lines. I am hopeful that such rumors are bull**** though.
