And bad to the bone. This is JoesCuba's replica build of guns he used when he was in the service.

And some more good ones for our viewing pleasure:

20” A2 rifle. Upper normally lives on a McKay RM16A2 lower, but I just put the A2 stock on this lower for another build. The Ergo grip is so mid 2000s I’m going to have to put on my RM16A2 lower

My 727-ish BHD rifle with my Beretta and it's new to me Surefire. Just need to replace the VZ grips with factory ones.

Oh heck yeah.  Back in the day I searched hi and low for one of them for my 1911 and they were impossible to find.  I wonder if more people are dumping them now....

I search constantly for both the 1911 and M9 surefire lights, no luck or stratosphere prices.  The search continues...

I love that cheek riser.  I actually just got the CAR one for my XM177E2, but I may get the M4 one considering that is what he has on that CAR stock in that photo and I like the indents on the side.

NOICE.   For a while I preferred the fat handguards but I mounted a set of CAR ones on my M4gery and I really like them.  And of course they look so right on the 727 type builds.   I'm all backwards because I prefer waffle stocks and CAR handguards.  That just aint right.  LOL.

Nice FA....    That is a beautiful build.

Oh wow.  That turned out nice.  It is a good tone to match the old Colt finish.  A bit on the lighter side but they varied.....

Yup.

Old ass bottle too.  I shook it forever and there was still some pigment stuck to the bottom.  Point being, color may be off from normal.

You missed the delta ring, charging handle, mag release button, and maybe buffer tube.

Some 727s (top three might be a regular M4) seen in action with the anti-Maduro military forces during the ongoing Venezuelan coup:

My ongoing A2 project. I'm trying to closely replicate the type of A2 I carried from 87-91. Need to get my 80 finished and modified, until then the poverty pony lower is working very well

This one isn't mine but its relevant.

I have a friend stationed at Fort Gordon and when I went to visit him before his deployment I lent him my unused 518 to take with him. He scrounged a mount and used it to qualify today.

That is a way cool pic of an older A2.

@JupiterMaximus  very nice.  And very nice vehicle it's sitting on.  What is that exactly?  Is it one of those Dodges made during the war? Although I'm not sure it looks like one of those. I'm not sure what that is.....

It's just an 80s era 5 ton my buddy owns. He has the turret ring mounted and the M2 to mount on it as well.

Very cool.  Got any pics of the whole thing?  I think my BIL was looking at buying one of those once.  What kind of engine does something like that have?   Is it diesel?   Big 4 Cylinder?  Just curious.

I don't have any pictures of it currently. I don't know a lot about the details, but it is definitely diesel. My son knows what it is, but he's the gear head.

You're more than welcome to come down and shoot both of these, if you're so inclined.

Well my Wife is from Anniston Alabama.  But the only time I ventured into Mississippi was on a trip to Texas once.

Are you in the lower or upper part of the State? Anniston is in Northern Alabama.

Right on the water in Biloxi.  Offer is open if you dare to venture this far south.  I've been through the CDP at Anniston twice, COBRA TF

Just want to post this guy as well - had it finished a while ago but also added the newer SBA4 brace (which I do like) and today, just added the .22LR CMMG conversion to shoot it with muh kids.
Upper is all Colt (but the CMMG bolt now). Barrel, receiver, authentic vintage hand guards 6 holers etc.

(ETA so this is an original, Maine produced, A2 Bushmaster receiver with Colt A2 barrel - government profile - Colt BCG, Colt pistol grip of the first, early A2 type etc.)
