sorry but no video

it did run good with both the 13" upper and my commando upper.  i took the bfs out of the nodak lower and  dropped it into my kac lower last night , as long as the mailman drops off my aim lightweight carrier tomorrow and the brown truck drops off my case of imi i'll be going back to the range tomorrow night to get a little more trigger time with it.  i'll try to get some video emptying a mag , it will be a short video

there's a 100+ page thread on the franklin armory bfs and a couple of threads starting up about the fostech echo trigger that's coming out with some good info on the triggers.  both have long backorder and preorder list's though.  the only downside so far that i've run into is keeping it fed , it will really eat into your ammo stash quick.

edit to add a pic for the pic thread

Build in progress.   I had a spare lower and wanted to assemble a cheap basic kiss rifle just o have a spare rifle. Using some of my spare parts I have to keep cost down with out shipping costs total price will be $366 $406 with shipping all the PSA stuff was bought durring the easter sale so that helps

PSA 16" midlength Freedom melonite  upper
PSA BCG (had this as a spare)
PSA  Charging handle (also a spare)
PSA carry handle
Spikes lower
PSA Stock kit and stock
spare A2 grip

Waiting on the Anderson vitals  LPK from Aim and then it will get a spare DD trigger and be complete.   It will need a sling any suggestions??

My KISS Truck Gun out of spare parts.

Colt HBAR 1/9 from my Colt 6721, I had no roll pin for the FSB and the gas tube so I used a nail and bent it. The upper is a no name upper. GWACS CAV MK II Lower with no name parts kit, tear drop forward assist, and that's pretty much it.

Here it is complete. I used some bungie cord from a pair of sweat pants as the rear sling attachment.

Got mine off the EE a few years ago.  I'm not totally sure they're still being made, but I want to say I read somewhere not long ago that DPMS or Brownells might have had some.  If you want a 603 style, NDS is where it's at.

Thanks, its a DS Arms ZM4 upper with a 1:7 CM 11.5" barrel, with a pinned and welded 5.5" flash hider. Has a total overall length of 16.5".

Any current "go to" sources for the older style red dot units, such as the Elbit Falcon?

My project will have to be based around an A2 upper, as that's all I have available - so a unit that attaches to the forward edge of the carry handle has high priority.
IF I could source an ARMS #68? type mount that'd work too as I have a few Aimpoints that could be used.

Really trying to get away from the "scope on top of a carry handle" option; to me that isn't an option its a bad compromise

Great thread - taken me several weeks on & off to get up to this point.

Bushmaster LE/Security Surplus.

Cleaned her up, swapped out the factory bushmaster skinny handguards for a set of skinny Colt handguards that I already had painted. I'm going to paint the rifle eventually so I figured I'll keep an unmolested set around. I also ground off the finger rest on the pistol grip.
