I just have to figure out if I want to put a carry handle on it or go with a fold down in case of scopeage. |

Got mine just about ready. Got a 20" BCM upper, Spikes Lower from the Group buy, RRA lpk and A2 stock from Pkfirearms. KAC M5 from EE here and a Matech Buis from the EE as well.
Only think is optics. I have a Nib TA11 otw which I got an outstanding price on I couldnt pass up. So would it be sacrilege to use that model or trade it for a "correct" one. I hear nothing but good things about the TA11. |

My 1.5 cents: I mounted a TA11 on my M16A4 clone just to test the concept and find the FSB's shadow annoys the ever living shit outta me. Add a little stress and you don't even notice the FSB....but I'm not always under stress. If I recall correctly I never had that problem with a TA31. Not sure if that extra 0.5X makes a difference or if it has something to do with barrel length, etc. Dunno. All I know with 110% certainty is that the TA11 will never sit atop my 20" rifle. Then again, FSB's and ACOG's have always been a square peg / round hole issue for me. Also, I believe the TA11 was intended for the M16A2, no? Since I'm now a die hard fan of the TA11, I'd never opt for a TA31 anyway on account of the 1.5" eye relief...so any future scoping adventures for my M16A4 clone would involve a variable scope....once I remove the FSB all together. I still don't understand how or why the military felt the TA31 made a great choice over the TA11. Especially considering the M16A4 sits in front of an A2 buttstock! Unless you're in the prone position, it's an awkward set up. At least I think so. YMMV. For now, my clone is plenty entertaining with a removable carry handle. My 16" AR is where I stuff all my BRD mojo. I can't wait for my FA556-212 to get here. |

Thanks for the info guys. I'm going to check it out and see what its like mounted before I make a decision. Cant afford 2 Acogs right now . So I might throw the TA11 on my BCM Middy w/DD rail system . No fsb to worry about on that one. Maybe grab an Aimpoint for the 20" or put carry handle on it. .

Does anyone have a picture looking through the ACOG? I'm trying to figure out if the FSB will drive me nuts or not.
ETA: to the poster below me, thanks for the input. I just don't want to drop a grand on some glass and hate it. The killer is I have a welded muzzle brake (live in CT - still have a form of the ban), so to remove the FSB and put a flip up on would be a PITA from what I understand. Guess I gotta find someone who has one and just find out for myself. Good pic - its noticeable right now but not as bad as I thought. Besides, when shooting I notice a lot less. Slack in the trigger - what slack? etc |

Nice to see the BCM uppers are finally available now. I need to take a new picture of my A4 clone, it will be a while before I can get the rail though. |

How is it different than others? The "F" marked front sight is a different height. Its made at the correct height to line up with iron sights mounted on a flat top upper. Hence the "F". The standard FSB will work, but in some cases you may need a taller front sight post. |
