That ACOG gets whored out a lot so I didn't like it being as green as it was and was tired of painting it over and over. The recce gun will get a coat of paint at some point when Im not busy. |

Although I'd wait for L3 or Augee to confirm it before taking it with 100 percent certainty. |

The recruit depot has its own Facebook page. I steal most of them from there.
And I do know guys that want to build a gun like they carried in basic. Now we need a BMT clone thread. |

Just a little heads up for anyone looking to complete their M16A4 clone...
Blue Force Gear currently has a Labor Day sale of 20% off on their website items (enter code LABOR20 at checkout). Also had free UPS shipping when I purchased their NSN Vickers sling; the sling loop mount; & the M16 stock adapter they sell. Now if only I can find a source for those FN M16A4 clones that FN is supposed to be producing soon. ETA: Sale's now over... Gratz to all those who managed to get in on it. |

The way he's shooting it seems like the eye relief is better than what I thought it was. Maybe he's allowing a lot of black around the sides....... |

The eye may be a little better than spec'd, but the shadow doesn't get bad for a pretty good bit. It's not like it has a 1.9" eye relief and it's unuseable at 2", it's just not as good. |

That's how my colt scope is. You can go back further than it really wants you to, it's just that the view starts to shrink and get enveloped by blackness. I'm sure it's probably like that with any scope. It just seemed pretty far back in comparison to other pics of guys with their TA01nsn equipped rifles to their shoulders. Half the time I see people with that thing practically against their face.

Snip - Maybe he's allowing a lot of black around the sides....... That's what I think. In a sort of combat situation, all you care really is to place that red chevron on target - I think that's what that Marine was aiming for. Great pictures by the way. These keep me coming back here for more. |

Sorry for the grainy cell pic, but it's all I have at the moment...
I was saving up for an ACOG, but then realized I could build an entire other rifle for the same price as one of those scopes, and since I like to train how I fight, I decided to change directions & made a dedicated .22lr clone of my A4 clone. These two are set up as basic circa 2001-2004(ish) versions. Attached File Have to say - I absolutely love these two rifles. FlDiveCop71 |

I noticed the sling swivel on the ejection port side, with a right handed shooter. And of course the LaRue mount.
