No but I'm sure somebody has a 3.5-10

That scope is a lot of overkill for a Block II. It's a match grade scope for a weapon that isn't.

Yes it is.

Just a reference pic - I'd like to do the same setup, only with the ECOS.

SU-237/PVS: Technically a phased replacement optic, but is still in use with Army AWG (Along with TA31s). All they did is take the old school Block I ACOGs and put Docters or JPoints on to make them more "Modern". The ECOS is just Trijicon' s version. If you wanted straight up clone correct, get an old TA01NSN and add a JPoint.

That's pretty much what I figured.  I just couldn't justify spending that much on an ECOS when I could just pick up an old TA01NSN, spray-paint it, and add a JPoint.

I really only ever shoot on nice sunny days anyway - Really don't have much practical use for the low-light tritium illumination.

A crescent wrench and a vice block is all you really need. A lot of the AR armorer wrenches have the right size built in. It's extremely simple. It might take a few times putting the new one on so that you get the correct timing with whatever shim combination that takes

The PR is more comfortable to shoot - it just balances better than the Block II.

However, they're both sexy guns.

So I've been hemming and hawing over getting my 16 inch barrel chopped to 14.5, pinned and welded. I really want the proper 4 prong Surefire flash hider. I don't suppose anyone has one they would sell do they? I'd be willing to pay $150~175.00 depending condition, I don't care if its new or used as long as it doesn't look like it was skipped across the concrete!

Going to post in the EE too but I figure this would be the place to find one if I was going to!

Shoot me a PM if you can help me out!

Those reverse facings are supplied in greater abundance since they are part of the normal uniform (right sleeve).  I see the reverse facing all the time on the front of body armor.

This is what happens when you create a reverse facing.  People don't care/know what is the correct facing.  They just slap that shit every which way.

[#38]
Just FYI as a general flag-etequite post, a reverse flag can be worn appropriately by orienting it vertically, so the field of stars make up the top left quadrant. This is how the flag should always be viewed, regardless of spacial orientation.

The service uniforms use of "stars FORWARD" is really the exception to this rule, and represents the ideal that American forces charge toward threats to the American way of life... Flags carried into battle from the days of formation fighting would always be seen in this fashion because American's don't retreat!

As a few of you know I've been looking into getting a pistol to go along with my Block II. I think the idea of a corresponding sidearm that would be seen on a soldier with a Block II rifle would be kinda cool. My LGS just got in a Colt M45, $1799... My tax return just came in, too. And let's just say, if you are a full time student and buy a house in the same tax year, you end up getting all of your taxes refunded plus $1000. I might have a new accessory to go with my rifles this weekend

That seems like a good price for the Colt M45.  MARSOC also uses alot of Gen 3 Glock 19s.   JSOC uses Glock 22s,  Glock 19 mostly Gen 3s and modified 1911A1s.  I think that the Colt M45 would be a nice weapon and would retain its value.  I am partial to the 1911A1.If I wasn't an old Army guy I would pick up  a M 45 Colt .

Cheers

  Me too.

Though, I'd be just as satisfied with a Beretta M9A1 to go with my Block II stuff.

Old pic, this is what I have now. I kinda modeled it after the Marine's ICQBP. It's a TLE/RL II, Kimber doesn't actually make the pistol used as the ICQBP as a regular model. Closest you could probably get would be a black Warrior slide on a TLE frame. But those are the correct grips

I might have a new accessory to go with my rifles this weekend

Jealous.

That looks great - will really look great if/when you pick up that M45.

Speaking of weapons companions, my FDE SCAR 17 should be arriving at my FFL later today - should look good with the Block II and Block II CQBR.
