That optic and the 1.93 mount is a pretty effective set up for the MK18.

Ok so i have over the past weeks gone through every page of this thread. I have completed my Block 2 FSP with the exception of the rear CQB sling mount because I use the stock but my question lies in muzzle devices. I live beside Fort Bragg where i accumulated a ammo crate of SOPMOD block 1-2 parts over the last few months from various surplus buy outs. I thought maybe i would come across a 4 prong but am on the verge of giving up. I have been flipping coins on the 3 prong, MB, or War Comp, now the closed tine and its war comp version have been plaguing me. Within those budgets which should i run? It wont be pinned as my barrel isn't 14.5 but for correctness and use in classes...700+ pages have my head scrambled...Warcomp 3 prong? Pics coming soon, if i could text someone the pic and they post it would help me a lot.

Well i should have specified, found a 4 prong that was well below market price lol like dumping a duffel bag and finding one like so many other parts. I found my FDE insight dual switch that way.

My suggestion would be the 3 prong if a 4 prong doesn't appear.

The 4-prongs are not that hard to find. I put a wanted ad out in the EE and three guys responded with examples. I went with the best price, and got a brand new never mounted 4-prong for $250.00 shipped.

I went with the 3 prong but still looking for a 4 prong at a reasonable price.
I'd pay $250 all day, the search continues...

It's really not. It's fine with LPVO's, it basically disappears at magnification.

Zeroed mine last weekend...

Scalarworks mount is amazing. I have one on a noveske with the same lpvo. Good fit for the upper being as heavy as it is.

Obviously it's not clone correct, but it's an awesome mount. I was skeptical about the torque of the knobs being enough but scalarworks has treated me well with customer service issues in the past and they have said repeatedly that the design doesn't need a high amount of torque so I went with it. So far I haven't had any shifts at all.

I want that scope
It's a great scope, but pricey. There are those who gripe about the reticle decision in the FC-DM from Nightforce--most of which are used to the Horus H27 found in the Leupold CQBSS--but I have no complaints. The footprint of the scope is rather large, and would bode well with a larger rifle frame i.e. SR25, but it rides well on a 14.5" gun with plenty of room for a smaller thermal or I2 clip-on device. The illumination is plenty bright and the eye-box is shooter friendly--not to mention I find the scope very quick on 1x (not as forgiving as a true red dot or reflex sight, but within the same realm). I'm a big fan of the older NXS 2.5-10x24 scopes and found little to no reason to move away to other offerings by Vortex, Leupold, etc.--and the NXS scopes still have their place--but I would not hesitate to move to the ATACR 1-8x.

Yes. Mine pretty much disappears with an TA51, I'd imagine the fsp is practically non-existent with a beyond 4x.

Yeah it disappears pretty well with a carbine FSB but I find my 9.5" Geissele with a Troy on the front and I see a slight ghost effect on my TA31 so I feel like sight radius has a bit to do with it. It is well below the 600M stadia so it still doesn't matter much. Of course on the 1-6x it would still be gone even on a 12" rail with 6x mag, the bonus to a FSB is that you get another point of reference for CQB on 1x.

Who makes proper wedge tic mark safety selectors? I have one, but have no idea where it came from and need another. Colt semi-auto safeties don't have any tic mark in my limited experience, Spikes and Doublestar and PSA all use a line (of varying thicknesses), I cannot for the life of me find a "correct" safety online. What are y'all using?
