They could at least stack them more neatly.......

That’s a lot of rifles to inspect, too.  Just for spite, I’d do them in order: start with the top of the pile and finish up with the first rifle Joe dumped on the floor.  (Of course they probably didn’t just dump them to be rude, but it looks that way.)

CD, do you have to log these pieces in/out as you inspect them?

I stumbled on an old post from a year or two ago where someone was asking about mounting a Harris bipod on a 14.5” Block II M4A1.  Has this actually been done in the wild? Any pictures of this?

Yes all the time. Just be careful, if you have the old version of the RIS II it can bend your lower rail. DD will still cover it under warranty though (I asked recently as I have an older rail)

Thank you. How can I tell?  I have a non-FSP.  Not sure what Gen or when it was made.

Thanks.

Older is on the left. They removed the holes on the front end of the lower rail to give it more rigidity for bipods.

Thank you again, looks like I dodged a bullet. Mine doesn’t have the extra holes at the front on the lower rail.

ETA:  so the $41 KAC bipod mount with a Harris BRM-S would be correct/acceptable?

I've had the same experience with a Badger and 10.3 Socom. I threw the barrel in the freezer for ~30min and the Gb slipped right on. Lightly sanding down was going to be my next step.

Badger Gbs just seem to have a tighter tolerance. (For some)

I'll try this approach, didn't freeze my barrel. Just hit the gas block w/ a heat gun.

Just slick up the Gb with oil when you try to mate them together.

Your building up another 14.5?

So my block II had a BCM barrel w/ pinned gas block and a pin sf3p so I wanted to get it correct. Sold of the barrel and replaced it w/ fn socom, badger mk12 and nt4. Gotta love form 1s for a 14.5 lol

I remember the days of taking a dolly cart loaded with weapons stacked like firewood into the shop for service. Chalking the SN's, filling out mass 2404's, throwing some music on the mp3 player and settling down for a nice few days of "leave me the fuck alone" work.  Good times.
