I'm sure this has been discussed before, but I just ran a search and came up with nothing.  Plus, I would like to have any new information.

I just got mine yesterday (haven't installed yet) and was disappointed to see that the parts are MIM. Though I must say that overall fit and finish was very good.

I was wondering how these hold up.

Thanks

I don't want to make you sick, but I just installed a trigger set from Elkmount Arms that was less than fifth dollars. It took only five minutes to install and trigger measured 4.25 lbs. of pull. The travel is much less with no creap. I have shot five-hundred round on the bench and it still surprizes me and groups are less than 1 MOA out to 100 meters.

Not sure what MIM means, but I put a CM trigger in my bumpstick, and it made it even better.  Plus, after many thousands of rounds (no cleaning even) it still feels great.

Thanks guys.  I wasn't too worried about it since I haven't seen a rash of "My CMC trigger just went tits up!!"  hreads,
Any other opinions??

Metal injected molding, 1911s guys are in a tizzy finding out that a bunch of parts on their pistols are MIM. There is a thread in the 1911 section about it. I've seen pictures here, and on other sights, of MIM parts breaking.

MIM is short for'' metal injection molding'',  the same principle as plastic injection molding. A mim'ed part may look a little rough  , but the quality of the steel is most often very good. mim'ed trigger parts are normally very hard  ( in the mid to high 50's on the rockwell C scale) and once the engagement surfaces are surface ground  the trigger should give you years of service.    PATRIOT ARMORY CLASS 07 MANUFACTURER
