Trying to get this thread back on track with a mk18 picture! (I still need a few more parts for mine.)

Working on a Block 1.5 PR CQBR upper.  Trying to decide on a flash hider.  Will be using an A2 for now but torn on ultimately using a KAC NT4, BE Meyers M249F, or Surefire 3/4 prong.

Lol... and yet, somewhere out there is probably another guy who looks at his collection and goes, "Ha, is that all?"

Only 1/17 had a M16A1 receiver IIRC, rest were M4A1 receivers.  Also that A1 had the Mk18 Mod 0 markings.

I say nt4 or m249f. Depending on whether or not you run a suppressor. They both look great on a block 1.5.

Are there any a2 lowers with the mk18 mod0 crane laser etch on the magwell?, or was it strictly a1's that were engraved/etched?

In the pic with all the cqbr's, the a1 lower is on the bottom right, and it has an a2 grip from what it looks like.

Quick question: why do so many of y’all put a rubber band or strap or something around the stock? Looks like right over the latch or aomethng...

Also to hold a cleaning rod or chemsticks if you need/want too.

Also keeps your rifle from sliding backwards if your rear bag is depressing the latch on your stock. Ask me how I know.

Have only seen the Mk18 Mod 0 etching on M16A1/M4A1 lowers.  On Mk18 Mod 1 receivers, armorers line out the model number ie M4A1 Carbine and add "NAVY 18-1"

Built up a second CQBR.  Going to run it as a PR for a while and might pick up an RIS II down the road to convert it to Block II.  Still deciding on a flash hider so it has an A2 for now.  Still need a CQD rear sling plate and I also want to pick up a G33 magnifier for it.

Is Euro Optic legit? No experience with them, but I could use a TD stubby for the new build.

Right on, thanks for the heads up. I actually was going to order a couple of them, but by the time I checked for a coupon (yes, I'm that chintzy, lol), I was only able to add one to my cart. So, I must have gotten the very last one - hopefully, I actually got one and didn't miss out.

Welp... now all I need is an EXPS3-0 and a taupe 99051 for CQBR V2 to be all finished. Then it'll just be waiting on the NT4 :\.

Anyone have a spare 99051 they want to get rid of?

Taupe, for sure. But it's primarily for a Block II with the occasional sharing on my painted Block I. In my mind, the cost of an NT4 was too much to justify only for the Block I - which I like, but I don't shoot nearly as much. If I were buying one primarily for a Block I, I'd probably go with black. There is always both ;p.

Got my shipping notice from Euro Optic this morning - that was fast.

Is there a "Kosher" correct Docter sight for the Elcan, ie. one with an NSN?  I've been wanting to pickup a MRDS for the Elcan for a while, I'm looking around and notice that Docter sights have changed over the years some.  The newest gen seem to be cerakoted and of a slightly different shape than the older ones.  Seems they've been bought out but are keeping the "Docter" name.

Neither BUIS, most common is the Matech BUIS, far second is the KAC 600m.  Only seen a few 300m in the last 4 yrs here.  Correct on light.

I'm with you here ref the SF lights; just traded for a reissue M952V and really like the high lumen output.  Only reason I have a WMX200 is that I found it in an out of the way gunshop a few years and was able to talk the shop owner down from $300 to $150.

Well, well... looks like I get to use my preferred barrel and be correct at the same time :D.

Admittedly, I wasn't exactly losing sleep over whether my DD barrels were 100% confirmed correct; but if they are, so much the better.
