Veeklog, I did it myself on a Bridgeport EZTrak mill. A member here took some high resolution pics of his issue carbine for me. I imported those pics into AutoCad software and duplicated all the lines, points, and arcs, in order to generate the NC program. Stoner |

Are there any pictures of the Mk18 RIS FSP in service? Or know of what unit uses them if any? I feel like I haven't seen an 'in theater' picture of one

look at the MK17, the color of the receivers isnt the same as the AEG and GBBR airsoft ones
also the front dude has an pre 2012 LBT-6094 in coyote tan with an eagle MAP and a crye AOR 1 shirt which few airsofters can afford but anyways, most of the photos you guys post that are "questionable" are usually airsofters because ive seen them before/know them because i myself am an airsofter but i use it for training purpose and force on force training http://www.ar15.com/forums/t_3_118/641240_Official_Mk_18_and_CQBR_Photo_and_Discussion_Thread.html&page=268#i6688090 sorry for the random post about something acouple pages back.. i was just scrolling through and saw that and just wanted to put some input also heres a picture of the colors of the AEG/GBBR MK16/17s that are made for airsoft http://www.spartanimports.com/store/images/Guns/FNScar/200925SSB2.jpg |

BCM and I think Rainier sold them as well. BCM had supposedly bought up the last of the supply and after they sold out they were gone.

Stock just came in today. Going to paint it too.

Nice, I'm still on the fence about my M16 lower.
It's a tight magwell so if I ever get work on it I'll refinish it through USAnodizers but I'm just thinking if there are long terms effects that could damage the receiver. |

We figured that out many pages back or in the locked thread after seeing another DD FSP carbine rail(which wasn't a mk18). So no, there are no clear pictures of MK18 FSP in service. Edit: The original pic may have been captioned as him being a Ranger but I'd guess he's AWG(attached to a Ranger Batt), his NVG, plate carrier aren't standard Ranger issue and his can also appears to be a mini, which is the same set up we saw on the other DD FSP rifle which also was a AWG's. |

After looking at them all blown up I'm 100% convinced the original rail in question is not a RIS II FSP, but a LITE rail just like the other one.

Not sure how to describe it. Alas, it's bound for my 14.5" Block II w/ a DD RIS II FSP rail though. Other than that, made a few changes after having it set up for a while and using it. - Ditched the Insight dual switch. Damn thing was just too bulky. I tried it in probably 5 different spots and just couldn't get it to work for me. I used the single tape switch the WMX200 came with and mounted it behind the light, at the 3 o'clock, underneath the camo wrap. It's zip tied to the rail and then had the wrap placed over it. Seems secure as hell, so I don't think it's going anywhere. I also figure once I get my ATPIAL-C I'll just use the "fire" button on the top of the unit. My work M4 with a PEQ-15 doesn't have a tape switch and I just use the fire button whenever I'm fucking around with it, so it should be familiar. - Also ditched the TD VFG. I've been moving away from these lately, it just seems more comfortable without. I'm also thinking of ditching the WMX. Not sure why, I just feel like it's quite a bit of money tied up into a VBL just for the sake of being "clone correct." I've been using a M952V on my work carbine for years now and I've never found it lacking (being honest, it's not like I've used it in any "real" situation, essentially just training and fucking around), but even under a PVS-14 I've never been wanting for something else. Thinking maybe one of the newer M600V's in a Danger Close offset mount. Thoughts from anybody who has owned one of the newer dual output Surefires? No joy on the PRI gas buster from LWRCI. Cross post from the Mk12 thread--
Just received an email from LWRCI saying they cancelled my order for the PRI gas buster charging handle...
Good Morning,
Unfortunately we are out of stock of an item(s) you ordered. Therefore we have canceled your order. If there is anything else we can help you with, please give us a call or email. Sorry for any inconvenience. -- Thank you! It's a brakeout 2. They don't need to be timed. |
