The regular closed tine flash hider looks pretty good if you haven't checked it out yet.

Any of the Unity risers play well with the SU231?  I'm looking to raise the optic.  If the Unity doesn't work, what would be clone correct?

That’s a big mount.  Seems like the only one that will work though.   That, or switch to another optic.

I’ve done that on a Larue R700 pic rail. The front was too long and interfered with scope. Dremel thin cut wheel and a Birchwood Casey touch up pen solved that in a jiffy.

I just went to sight it in temporarily, until I could get a colt bbl... Buuuut I dunno know lol

Do we know what the UID info would for the issued Eotechs?  Looking at Carolina Laser works for a label.

Anyone have any details on the MK12 low profile gas block SOCOM uses for the CQBR Block II? I was going through some post from 2017 on this thread, but what I got was Coronet and DD makes a MK12 gas block  1005-01-597-1170 Cylinder, gas, gun. Correct me if I’m wrong, but is the MK12 that Badger Ordnance makes, correct or not correct? Or is it correct from a civilian market perspective and being within specs of NSN 1005-01-597-1170. I

I believe Badger is correct.  Every single gas block I've installed on a issued gun has been unmarked.  Only packaging is marked.

For a 231 and 231a, the data set within the code follows this format

D1MLU1SU231AXXXXXX

D1MLU1M553  XXXXXX

This data set is what was laser engraved onto the body of the optic.

Just put this together.  I already had some of the parts from the last time I did one up.  But that was a PSA 10.5 upper.  This ones a 10.3" Colt barrel.  Not 100%, but close enough.

As some of these were made from A1 lowers, what's the chance any of them were ever made from an H&R A1 lower?  Or were they all Colts?

From what I understand, crane didn’t discriminate what A1 lower they used for the MK18 MOD 0. It was based on what lowers they had on hand. Colt just produced  more than  GM HM and H&R. So it’s more common to see Colt Lowers. This is second hand knowledge that I’ve picked up, but never seen a photo of one.

Thanks.  It seems the H&R (PSA) A1 lowers are probably the easiest to obtain right now that may be correct.

That’s pure sex right there. I’ve been trying to get a stripped GM HM from IntlMilCo and an H&R lower from PSA without success. May just have to wait a few years once the hype slows down
