It really does just manifest out of nowhere. Shit is like something out of a fairy tale, lol.

I feel like the reticle is so much crisper too, over what it looks like with the naked eye (same thing happens with the 3x magnifier). There does seem to be a glow around it if it's set too high though.

Well here's my first foray into the clone arena, still a work in progress and not 100% correct yet either, still have a few bits to save up for but I think its doing pretty good for the amount I have into it right now. Sadly my state doesn't allow SBR's or suppressors so the blade has to stay for now and its got to stay loud for now :( But it is a ton of fun to shoot! Definitely looking forward to finishing it off!

You're going to have to use an image hosting site like Imgur, Flickr or Photobucket.

Imgur is the easiest since you don't have to make an account, and you won't lose image quality.

Flickr is the next best, and photobucket is a complete pile of dogshit with their ads now.  It's at the point I can't even use the site on my phone anymore because invariably i get forwarded to one of those bullshit "ZOMG YOU HAVE SPYWARE CLICK HERE TO DELETE IT ALL FOREVERS!!!1" spyware/adware sites.  and it redirects a dozen times before i can even hit stop and back, so it just keeps reloading the same page.

BLUF:  use imgur or flickr if you want an easy access account.  i'm slowly saving all my stuff from my photobucket so i can burn the shit to the ground.

Joined the forum back around November was looking to build an SBR clone but wasn't sure then found this thread. Started on the Mk18 Mod 0 route and kept seeing everyone's CQBR block 2 builds. Well dang it, decided to do both and few months later and lowered bank account this is what I have so far. Still waiting for my form 1. Open to any critiques, I know there a few more things in need to pick up. Uppers and lower are colt, mk18 barrel is 10.3 colt and CQBR is DD 10.3. I plan on assembling the uppers this weekend and will post more pics. Thanks guys.

The top pic is an HK-416A5. It's receiver set, buffer tube, rail, and a couple other parts are anodized in a variant of flat dark earth. Obviously that gun and his buddy's in the pic have geissele rails. I'd assume they're Delta

I agree that the 416 clone game is hazy because they are typically issued to tier one units and a few tier 2 units. The tier on guys have a lot of autonomy in gear selection. Whatever one chooses to build as a "clone" would
be an interpretation more than a clone.

Just my two pennies. I may be already stating the obvious lol.

Where did you get this information that the new EXPS3-0's are cerakoted?  It makes sense though because all the new Tans ones I have seen look like garbage.  The color is dingy and uneven.

I have a question for the folks using the factory Colt 10.3" barrel with the .70 gas port. Have you ever experienced any reliability issues with .223 ammo? I just assembled a new upper and I test fired using factory .223 55 gr and .223 62 gr rounds and the rifle wouldn't cycle for shit. I would be able to get maybe 1-3 rounds and would just stop or i get FTF. I did also test fire using new factory 5.56 62 gr rounds and had little no stoppages. The rifle also was unable to hold bolt open on the last round using both the .223 and 5.56 ammo. Thoughts?

what buffer and spring are you using? If you are rocking an H2 I would try and H buffer... if that doesn't work, a standard CAR buffer should do the trick. Could always try a light weight bolt carrier too.

All that said, I usually just shot M193 or M855 from PMC or IMI these days... wold gold shoots at 5.56 pressures as well... my 10.3 / .70 gas port wasn't reliable with .223

throwing a suppressor on it also helps if you have that option

I have had no issues with mine running .223. I have only put about 100 rounds through my barrel since I had it cut down and opened up to .07 by adco. I'm running a spikes t-2 buffer.

I'm using a colt H buffer and factory carbine spring in a 6920. I am hoping my NT4 suppressor will be available in the upcoming weeks so maybe that might help.

Strange. I have an all Colt setup with an H2 buffer and it's fired several hundred rounds of wolf gold both suppressed and unsuppressed without a single issue.   Extreme underpowered steel?

I too have had a couple BFG VCAS padded slings on my rifles and they're pretty good. However, I've been following Lucas Botkin and T.Rex Arms for a bit, recently bought their Ragnarok light bearing holster, and I've decided I'm going to try out their Ferro Concepts Slingster. Material seems like it will be more comfortable, the padding has the ability to slide to where you need it, and the price is right. Ferro Concepts Slingster
