That 1% is due to the seating of the micro to the mount and it's issues. They seem to be about .005 off from the real deal on the width of the bevel to seat the micro. This is an issue with more than 1 of the mounts I have access to. They also have a little more gap to the base of the rings. I have yet to lap this cap to get a better purchase on the optic but I'm sure that will solve that issue. The finish is also a bit rough compared to the real Wilcox. Not an issue just a difference. The real Wilcox is almost slick. It's a good piece it's just got a few QC issues that have been sent to the party who made these, and he has offered to send another to make sure it's got 100% fitment. I went ahead and filed down just a hair on the surfaces which were hindering the T1 to fully seat and mount flat on the cap. It now mounts perfectly flat. Anyone have any pics of a AFSOC 416 with NF 2.5-10x24 with Wilcox DR mount. Have the scope on my scar17 but thinking of building a mr556 with that setup

That would be a SEAL setup on either a Mk 12 or Mk 17. They started with S&B Short Dot 1-4s, then NF 2.5-10x32, then Leupold Mk 6 1-6. |

anyone have a guess as to why 12.5" was used during the .300 blackout AAC guns were being tested? Thinking about starting a 12.5" build.
I posed the question to Proof Research, where John Clements is now working (worked at the command on implementing .300 blackout), as to why they offer 12.5" .300 blackout barrels, and they responded with "the 10.5 didn't sell as well". While that may be true, I just wonder if there's more to it than that. |

I noticed afsoc is using some 12.5 LMT Spec war uppers with either NX8’s or atacrs on them. Would that be kosher in this thread or is there another one they would fit better in?

So...i found some land in Montana. I work remotely and have been dreaming of moving out there for pretty much since i got out of the Marines a few years ago. Decided to let some things go to make this move happen. I have thinned my Collection down to my 11.5 URGI and this FF RAS. i ordered all the Parts to turn it into an NSW Recce. I'll be running a BA 16" Barrel until CLE gets my 15.1 1.7.7 Barrel done. I think i will run an NX8 on it. i wish the Model with the FC-DMX reticle from the atacr would drop soon. I would love a Recon Nav Spec X24 but i just cant pay those prices for that scope. i could probably stomach 2k but sheesh not 2800+. But anyways i will keep you all updated. My OCM5 should be ordered this week too.

Everyone’s different. Personally I love getting behind the x24. Especially when prone. Just a great piece of glass.
Not sure what the NSW will look like with anything else! |

Already have the hard part (the rail) sitting on the shelf collecting dust. Just need glass and a barrel setup. |

You’re kinda limited on optics before you step outside of the NSW recce and into more of a GWOT build. |

We’ll see, extending my personal range at home another 100 yards so my hands are full with that project for a while! |
