Rock River Arms lower, registered SBR, Moe CTR stock, MIAD grip, BCM Mod 4 latch
BCM upper rcv, CMMG barrel 4.5" (was 6.5"), SS BCG, MI SS gen 2 carbine length.
DD fixed sights (ebay knock offs)
SS Sparrow.
Finished in Cerakote-Patriot Brown
Total OAL 20"
Fun as Hell!

That one is very similar to my setup (on pg 58), and I agree, the small size is fun!!

Yep, we almost have twins! I decided to cut my barrel down to 4.5" because HV ammo was still super-sonic at 6.5". Now the HV ammo (typical walmart stuff) stays sub-sonic and I can run most any ammo and be quiet. I do have match grade sub-sonic ammo but prefer to save that for my Savage FSVR when I'm hunting squirrels. :)

low quality phone picture but wanted to share my kids 15-22's

I looked at building 22lr AR's first but ended up going this route mainly because of their intended use.  I don't use them for match target shooting, but to teach my kids gun safety and one day transition up to larger caliber rifles.

Plus I already have a couple super accurate 10-22's

DPMS upper with a drop in MI rail and a DD BUIS. I dropped it onto a Mega lower, hope to add a better trigger and a red dot soon. It hated some ancient win white box I had hanging around, but fired Aguila rounds 100% hiccup free.

- Chiappa M4-22

- Troy Alpha 9"

- S&W M&P15

- Magpul Sights

- Primary Arms 30mm Red Dot & Mount

The Lower is an SBR, so I plan to have it cut and threaded just in front of the rail.

Unfortunately, the stock barrel nut on the Chiappa was not compatible with the Troy Alpha rail, so I had to buy a BCM barrel nut, which worked perfectly.

There's a small gap between the receiver and rail because I didn't want to strip the threads on the polymer receiver.

Just finished my first build. Engage billet lower, CMMG dedicated .22 upper, CMMG lpk, KAC RAS and rail panels, Magpul MOE stock, PA cheapo 1x4 scope and mount, AAC Pilot suppressor and Black Dog Machine mags. This will eventually be set up in FDE, but had to use parts in the parts bin to get it to the range today. Thinking that the other Engage lower will be built up in 5.56 and go for an SPR kind of look.

This is what a raw A4/M4 flattop upper looks like, unmachined.

Taccom does not machine the hole for the FA, just a nice platform for their name.

I thought it might be something like that. Ii was more puzzled why they dont just machine the whole thing smooth and then put their name on. cost/ benefit i guess. looks sharp though. This is the first time ive seen that upper.

Old-style TACCOM upper, YHM rails (7.27"), 4.5" barrel + Silencerco Adapter + Sparrow, some hand-hold thingies to test out, Rifle-length buffer tube w/ exile-rubber and cane-tip:

I still need to "fix" the Buffer Tube and Cane-tip.  It FEELS GREAT, but at the moment, the lumpiness or something just makes it look weird and, well, phallic
(no one wants to rub that on his cheek  <--ETA:  not that there's anything wrong with that.):

I am finally finished with my .22lr AR build. It has been a long time coming, and has gone through quite a few phases.
I am very satisfied with the Better-Mag adapter and M&P-22 magazines.
My favorite part, however, is the Accupoint... this scope is PERFECT for a .22 AR build, and I'm considering using it for other rifles as well.
