Highspeed videos of my wife shooting the AR with M261 kit.  AR is a old DPMS with a Colt LW 1:9 barrel, worked over by GG&G back in the day.  I love watching the brass arc around the camera, it looks huge when it is a few inches away...
300 frames per second
600 frames per second
600 frames close-up Lots of bolt bounce.

I got my dedicated .22 upper today.  It sits on top of a Spike’s lower with Springfield trigger and lightened springs.  A SightLink .070 sight is on the way for it.  I have one on my 16” middy and think it is the best thing you can do to a standard A2 front sight.  I immediately ditched the standard carbine hand guards for some Magpul MOEs.  They feel and function so much better than the stock hand guards.  With the MOE stock and no buffer or spring, the rifle is pretty light.  This is my 3rd AR and is probably so far my favorite.  I can’t wait to shoot $.03 a round.

LO, almost twins! I even have that rear sight in a box somewhere, need to pick up a front.

Upper and barrel are Del Ton, no gas system
Thread protector on barrel to allow "accessory" attachment, and I don't think a .22 needs a comp or flash hider
Ciener conversion kit with chamber adapter
SWS railed mid length free float forearm
Standard lower with standard LPK
Trijicon Reflex II with Amber triangle reticle
BDM magazines.

This set up will run 100% for 5-600 rounds of Federal Bulk before it needs cleaning. After that the action gets so gunked up with carbon that the bolt slows down and starts to affect function. I got all of the parts from the EE or used from people I know except the furniture, and magazines. The whole thing including the SWS rail and optic was $950. Without the rail and optic it would have been under $600, which pays for itself in about 1500 rounds vs. 5.56.

Nothing special:  Superior Arms lower; some Magpul parts; cheap-o CAR stock; Model 1 Sales 16" heavy barrel upper; "Clonepoint" red dot.

Here's my Olympic Arms Factory .22lr Partner AR15.  16 inch 1/16 twist barrel.

I replaced the original stock and handguards with M4 units.

Went with a KISS system,   RRA lower and one of the new M4 CMMG dedicated 22lr uppers.   It also has one of the new CMMG 22 cal mags in it at the moment.  Runs perfectly with Federal Bulk ammo and have over 100 rounds through it with zero problems.   I was very impressed with CMMG.  I ordered it on a Thursday and the following Monday it was delivered.   It runs so far with just a drop of oil on each rail.  Now to find more bulk pack Federal.

At first glance, I wondered "WTH is holding the rear half of the rifle in the air?"  And then I noticed the mag hitting the surface.
