That thing looks great! John Thomas does awesome work, he did a pin/weld for one of my projects this past summer. Kudos on the stock, i have one of those and really dig it.

Just wanted to say that I finally sucked it up and grabbed an nx8. I haven't put any rounds through an upper with it yet, but man it seems nice. The eyebox issue does seem a little overblown once you get it mounted and positioned correctly. I'm now looking for an upper to put it on. I have an NSW and it's a bit of a pig to carry around. It worked just fine putting a whitetail in the freezer this year though. I have a k can, and am trying to decide between a 12.5 and a 14.5 barrel. I have a centurion 12.5 midlenghth barrel that I could use for the upper, or could grab a 14.5. Those of you with "longer" uppers and K cans, how well do they balance? I have a turbo k with a titanium diversified machine mount for griffin mounts.

Gotta love a 2.5-10 that weighs less than a NX8 (16.8oz) and still has a parallax adjustment. Still awaiting offset rds components

Heavier profiles will certainly feel a little “tippy” towards the front. The rifle of mine pictured above has a LW barrel and it feels remarkably balanced with suppressor. |

I’ll probably end up assembling both the 12.5 and 14.5 to decide which one I want to keep. I also have the 2.5-10 and it’s a good scope for the money. Especially what they go for used now. I have one on my NSW upper until I decide to get an x24. |

I don’t feel like an extra 0.6” would throw off the balance with a barrel profile like the Core. Granted, running that can on my 12.5” upper just feels more “handy”. There is also a couple inches less rail on that one which makes a difference. |

Anyone have thoughts on which would work best for that setup? Will the rifle length work if I tuck a suppressor under? |

anyone run their Mini Recce at night? Seems like the mini Recce is solely a day gun.

It's actually not terrible using a -14 on my non-dominant eye with the dot mounted about 11 o'clock on the scope tube. Allowed for a very vertical head position. |
