Clonies, I ask in advance for your forgiveness. I'm about to post an "inspired" 10.5" CQBR build.

I have to give StealthGuy credit for the stickers and wanted to recognize him for his contributions. I promise I won't post it again!

Looks fine to me. Buttstocks, pistol grips and forward hand grips are swapped out a lot for personally bought shit. WML lights are used and a fellow member here who's in Army SOF mentioned their use overseas and spoke highly of them in an article he wrote.

What is missing?

The hardest part is the M16 lower, probably followed by a SF4P, and then a PEQ-15/LA-5.

WMX-200 is kind of hard to find for reasonable price. I have my black one I'm going to put up forsale for pretty reasonable I think if someone is looking for one.

That gun is titties.

LOL the only clone that could top it (IMHO) is a Navy Specwar Mk18 with the ad hoc 203 mount/M203 on it.

+1000000 clone points for inclusion of destructive devices!

Nothing is missing. But my A2 lower marked burst, if someone use a US govnt  property marked M16A1 lower, it would be closer .

Got the DD barrel and the rest of the upper parts in today for my Mod 0 clone. Went to assemble the upper only to realize I forgot to order a handguard endcap

Would it kill them to include a barrel nut and endcap with the barrel?

Pics will be posted after I get an endcap from the LGS.

Question: Do all Mk18's come with the CQD front/rear sling attachments? Seems like a lot of the .mil guns are missing them based on the pictures

The M16A1 lowers were used on MK 18 MOD 0s, not M4A1 CQBRs, about the only closer you're going to get is an "AUTO" marked RO727/RO723 lower to represent an older inventory COTS carbine with a 10.3" URG installed.

IMHO, an M16A1 lower would be a step backwards - I would save that for a MK 12 SPR clone.

In case you missed it, this is a CLONE thread. What you have posted is a US Government Colt Block II CQBR. Not trying to be rude but perhaps posting in the NFA or SBR sections would be more appropriate.

Just playin'... Awesome "clone"! I'm jelly.

While Augee has pretty much already cleared things up regarding the TA01-ECOS/TA31-ECOS and SU-237 designation discussion, my TA01-ECOS happened to arrive tonight.

Here's a pic of the included operator's manual:

Disregard the sticker on the left. I just stuck it there after removing it from the piggybacked RMR.

ETA - and I hadn't used a TA01/TA31 ACOG in ages. I forgot how insanely shitty the eye relief is. Man do I wish this thing had the TA33 eye relief.

Got the upper put together.

Parts list so far:

Colt upper
Colt BCG
DD barrel
MaTech BUIS
A2 FH (Not going to worry about the muzzle device until I can afford to buy a suppressor)
KAC RAS

Still waiting on the stamp to come in for my LMT lower, filed it January 20th. I think that I'm going with an EXPS 3-0 for the sight, I really like the way it looks on a Mod 0

Are the Colt Side-Swivels used on Mk18's? I thought they came on all government carbines, but I don't remember seeing them in any of the pictures.

ECPrevatte, what color of paint did you use?

Trust me when I say use skilcraft tan obliterating compound for the tan base coat. (This is one of the tans the USMC uses) Most of the generic tans ended up looking like the inside of a sick baby's diaper to me, luckily I tested them on mags first.

Cool. I attained my Eagle Scout rank in 1992. My home troop was Troop 319, Verdugo Hills Council in California.

The Rifle Shooting merit badge was my first hands-on with firearms.

Let me check as I thought I remember some with them.  Checked my Crane CD on the Mk18 and negative on the Colt Side Swivel.  Reason being the KAS RIS came with a forward sling stud that could be mounted anywhere on the rails.

Range trip: Success! First time shooting an SBR, fucking amazing.
Thanks to EC for the barrel! Spitting out brass to the 4 o'clock. Ran like a Swiss watch.

Awesome photos.

Questions if you don't mind - it looks like you guys just
dimple the barrels.  Did you guys use Loctite or anything for the gas block set screw or any staking?  It looks like there are regular M4 barrels under the RIS II as well?

Thanks!
