Just a couple quick questions. I am in the beginning of a MK18/CQBR build, steering towards a Block 1.5 which would be a CQBR correct? I've read previous postings and this is how I am understanding it. Please correct me if I am wrong.
MK18 MOD 0 ( complete rifle ) CQBR Block I and Block II ( just the upper which is interchangeable with the M4A1 as the base ) So would an eotech EXPS3-0 (tan) and a surefire m652v (tan) be "correct" for a CQBR block 1.5? Also what sling or slings would be most correct? Appreciate the help guys, really enjoy seeing everyone's builds and critique. |

View Quote A CQBR "Block 1.5" is just a Block I upper receiver with Block II accessories. The EXPS3-0 definitely fits and the m652v is workable (no one will care), but it wasn't officially part of the program. |

View Quote EXPS3-0 would be Block II only I believe, 553 would be correct for a phased replacement. The M952V would not be correct, the old version M620V could be correct. Use whatever sling you like with CQD sling mounts. |

I would really like to have a MK18 RIS II FSP rail.

So I am trying to push the limits of accessorizing a block "1.5" while keeping it correct. |

Phase 5 had a lot of them on GB. I had a "notify me" request in with them and they had a group of 3 come in...so I bought 'em. As soon as I did, they reposted another group of 3...and another 5 and...they kept relisting until I lost track but I'd guess they had over 25-30 of 'em. |

Decided to list my SU-230 in the EE (if anyone is looking for one). Decided to go a different route - with that said, if anyone has a lead on an EOTech EXPS3-0 that's the anodized version marked SU-231A/PEQ, I would love a heads up! I put a WTB listing up, but haven't seen any in the EE for quite a while.

Didn't even name a price, he just said no, lol. Said he was offered $1000 and turned it down. Apparently they're pretty hard to find. Anyway, family photo. Finally got the NODs back, but still need to wait a few weeks for friggin helmet. I hate waiting with a passion. " /> |

I've never seen these risers before and then all of a sudden, I'm seeing them everywhere. Curious as to the purpose. Is it just to get the reticle up high and out of the line of sight with the FSP?

helps with neck fatigue, getting ear pro off of stock, shooting with gas masks...lot of advantages with minimal disadvantages. Mechanical offset being one disadvantage but like with anything else you can train for that.
edit: that Jason Falla is so hot right now |

I do think the riser thing is very applicable but I've seen some guns with them that people don't own nods.
Shot a class with a Green Eye Tacitcal, and Eric has a good background. His rifle has a riser setup and I got to look through it to see first hand how helpful it ts. He also has his OG A2 forgrip with the buttons from his HK416 days. |
