I can see it is a CMT DRT rail, but was curious as to the length? I was thinking of picking up the DRT since I have a tano Gei$$ele upper and lower on the way. |

CMT had a restock on their DRT rails recently. I ordered another 13.0 though they are now out of stock on that size.

I bought this G receiver set on their Easter sale, because nothing says "He has risen!!" better than a new AR build. In certain lighting the receivers look almost look bronze in color, but it is their anodized DDC and I did read the disclaimer. Bought the handguard off of the EE on this site, which was a very positive experience. However, I should have ordered the G DDC buffer tube instead of the black.

I was just looking through some old pictures and came across a rifle I built (and sold) with a Midwest rail that I forgot about but think was Tanodized.
I remember it was painted and I stripped the finish off and it was left with a shiny finish that resembled what I now know to be Tanodized…. The description on the website says “hardcoat anodized” for the FDE model. It may warrant a call to Midwest, but I would bet it’s Tano! The POS Covid rifle I built with second hand EE parts… Notice the shiny finish…? ETA: After looking at the website more closely I think I stumbled on a discontinued product. Sorry Gents, thought I had something to offer… ETA2: Just found 2 on Gunbroker and bought one! I have absolutely NO-NEED for it, but I bought it and will report back if I have an offering to the Tano gods! Strange things like this happen after a couple of bourbons. The seller had two, but the other is a 7.25”…. |

Looks like I'm going to be doing a tano build here soon.
I picked up a 16" SR15 upper in black and I have a LMT Mars lower in black on the way that will be sent off soon to be cerakoted FDE. In the meantime, I've got a Vortex Razor Gen 3 on a Badger ordnance mount with my RMR HRS on their J-arm. Picking up a few items from FCD as well. Their FDE trigger guard, Burnt Bronze end plate, and extended takedown pins. Looking at the tano receiver extension from ripcord. That combined with some FDE furniture should get me most of the way there! ETA: Got my FCD parts ordered. How is the fit and finish on the Ripcord buffer extensions? Any feedback on those so far? |
