  I might be joining the "no rear buis" club though, I can see why many run the Elcan without one. It's doable as shown, but would benefit from coming back a slot or two...  |

I know this is not Technically a mk18 but there was some interest in this thread so I figured I'd post it here, its a future host for an AEM2. ANKRANTZ did the cerekote on the FF Ras after I chopped it, and the optic placement is purely personal preference before someone makes a comment on it.

So I slapped together another upper from the parts bin with my KAC FF RAS, DD 10.3 inch barrel, and surefire flash hider with a SOCOM-SB. Put my extra TA01 NSN w/JPoint on it and was really surprised at how flexible you could make a 10.3 inch recce gun. Pics later, but my hits out to 300m steel were good to go using 55 grain ammo and aiming using the 300m hash mark on the top half of the target with a 50m zero on the gun. Not sure if there is a better solution out there zeroing an ACOG on a 10.3 inch gun running M193 or M855...
Not a bad little blaster and I see why the brits like their L119s so much. |
