For some reason that looks smaller than a 3x9....  Not sure why.  I like scopes a little higher than normal. So for me, I'd be liking that.  But I could see how some like it low....  To me, it looks super great.

Lots of good recces on this page.  Everyone loves the G mount nowadays.....  LOL.  Way too rich for my blood.

The mk4 MR/T’s are smaller scopes compared to the mk4 LR/T line. MR/T’s came in 2.5-8x36 and 3-9x36 where I believe the (smallest) LR/T came in 3.5-10x40 and was a lot longer.  My post at the bottom of the last page is a “standard” Mark 4 LR/T

It’s 8oz heavier than the Gen 1 and not as streamlined-looking.  The Gen 1’s can be found for $150-200 cheaper also.  If the updated knobs and dials suit you better, that’s another story

Thanks man! Yeah it's an 04 manufacture 3-9 MR/T with the older football mildot's. Love this optic so far. It looks high in the pictures, however, when you shoulder the rifle it's about at the perfect height for my cheek weld so I don't think I'm going to have to change anything. I have a KAC RAS bipod adapter on the way with a kmw pod loc. So all that's left is picking up an s-brm and a peq-2 if I can find one at a reasonable price.

Oh yea. Even better with the barrel paint.

Does anyone have a full size kac rail panel they wanna send my way? Not gonna run the vfg anymore I can trade you for the short one that is used with the VFG!

Also, I think I’m going to bite the bullet and get an AEM5. I wanna go flush to the rail. What’s the word on getting it flush and how the collar attaches to the barrel. Is there a set screw? Or does it need a shoulder to but up against?

Needs a shoulder, but it is held in place with a set screw.

Mag release ok. But NO GO on the Telescopic Stock, has to be Pinned or a Fixed Stock, has to have a Muzzle Break or Thread Protector.. NO FLASH HIDERS or mention anything about reducing flash in the description if going “Featureless”.. But if we want to keep all of the “EVIL FEATURES, eg Pistol Grip, Flash Hiders, and Collapsible Stock” it has to be a Fixed Magazine configurations or Break Action aka Upper/Lower has to be open to change Mags

I was really impressed with the ATACR 1-8 I played with and I love my Trij 1-8. I suspect that it boils down a lot to reticle design over a pure FFP VS SFP debate. Some reticles work better with one or the other.
