Kommandostore has new versions of their Gorka suit with upgraded features and in Multicam(ish) and Russian camo. I am tempted on the Multicam, but height sizing is only up to 6'-0"??? https://kommandostore.com/products/gorka-m-modernized-gorka-suit View Quote |

0241 now has their T-Block smocks available, and also fabric by the yard! https://0241tactical.com/shop?keywords=block&olsPage=products%2Fnight-desert-poly-twill-material-ndfab
I recently received my 0241 smock (Covert Arid) I had semi-custom ordered with pit zips. Great stuff and pit zips work great, but he made me a smock instead of a zip-up. He relized his mistake before I received it, and he called me immediately. we had a good talk about options and this possibility of him getting the FFV Rhodie material! Big +1 for 0241Tractical customer service! |

This reminds me of the early 2000s before the Army adopted their version of Multicam. Finally there was a really good military-style camo that was unique and relatively rare. Before Multicam and some others that came out around the same time like ATACS, the only options for tough clothes were Woodland pattern surplus, or some hunting patterns (which are generally shit IMHO). So Multicam was the thing to have to be cool. Then the Big Army adopted it, and suddenly it was everywhere. That was great for having thousands of options, but then all the tards had it too. I had to go back to being cool with brushstroke and ASAT. |

OAF Nation have kind of skylined themselves in terms of quality and CS, which i won’t really go into. Lot of history. I posted the screenshot mainly to point out OAF ain’t the only ones coming out with a brushstroke hoody. The pattern IS different; each of them is using a different magnification etc so to speak. But WRMFZY is more dedicated to the pattern than OAF is, based upon previous offerings, if that makes sense. |

So in the late 80's one of my boys had a Portuguese pattern poncho. It was a canvas top layer and a rubber bottom layer. Does anyone know where to find one of these? Any help to find one or two of these would be greatly appreciated. Big fan of this thread as I am a camo nerd too!

The SANDF camo would probably do pretty well in my area. Rhodesian DPM does great here as well, as does the Belgian brushtroke for African deployments. I'll bet the dry season Rhodesian DPM would work well most of the year here as well. On the other side of the mountains, 6-color desert also works great.

OP, was it your old thread or maybe another thread you had, where you had the pics of all of the different camo patterns, but you also took them into the woods or different environments and set them up and took pics? It was to show which were more effective or at least which were more effective in environments in your area.
It was wild to me, that some that looked on the surface like they would blend in well with the background, having all the same colors as the woods around them, but they stood out like sore thumbs, while some that had completely oddball colors and patterns became almost invisible once in the woods, or on the terrain that was tested. If it wasn't you, I wonder if anyone remembers that thread. It was from a long, long time ago, within the first few years that I joined, so 2008-2012 I guess. I was still able enough physically to at least have the desire to hunt , although I really didn't get to, and was very interested in some of those patterns. I think whoever did it also compared some of these mil camo patterns to some of the commercial stuff that was popular, and found that some of the mil surp beat the high dollar stuff, although, some of that high end stuff also had a couple of patterns that nearly disappeared as well. |

Anyone have a line on some quality AUSCAM gear? Really like the pattern and it works really well where I hunt. I'd like to get into the new Australian multicamo gear too but I'm sure that's unobtainium for now.

I shouldn't tell you until I've got mine on order, but Fireforce Ventures is contracting with my other bud 0241Tactical to make Smock-Lites in FFV Brushstroke pattern. Nothing available yet but 0241 said it on IG today, they will be sold though FFV.

I think my discretionary fund for camo is depleted for a while. I’ll just have to look at other people’ stuff when they post it, for the foreseeable future.

None at all. They send confirmation emails w/ tracking numbers, and the stuff shows up when it’s supposed to - I just got a second order from them this last week, and had no problems. I got the soft shell trousers to go with the jacket, along with a couple of other things, and it was here in about a week. I’ll post some pictures tomorrow.

Fireforce Ventures had a pre-order on their Rhodie Brushstroke poncho liner a.k.a. "woobie". $85 Canuckian pesos. Already sold out...
