Rustoleum Camo  Deep Forest Green on my spare parts build.

May add some patterns later. Should be fun to experiment.

Painted parts 2 days ago. assembled today and paint is still somewhat tacky on the plastic parts. Hopefully in 7 days it will harden completely.

Just painted this one today, the laundry bag pattern didn't come out as good as my last one. I'm not sure if I want to strip the paint and redo or leave be for now.

Did some work in the woods today.  Trimmed back some undergrowth from around my treestand to make some shooting lanes for the fall.  Also cut up some downed trees for some fire wood.  Took a carbine along with me.  In the evening shade I thought it blended in pretty well.

The neat thing about spray paint is that it comes with an airbrush built in

Just for instances that require more precise work that I know I personally can't do with a regular can :)

Oh ok this makes sense now. I didn't quote the pic I was commenting on originally. A few pages back there's the ATACS-ish scheme a guy did - that's what I'm referring to.

The whole point to rattle canning a gun is to make it look blended and haphazard. Clean, precise lines are exactly what you want to avoid.

Ya I'm not talking precision lines and defined color boundaries. I just mean the 'feathering' abilities and adjustability of an air brush, for that kind of pattern, would be easier to pull off than a one-size-fits all rattle can nozzle.

It's a Lewis Machine and Tool MRP, the upper is a one piece unit machined from a solid block of aluminum.  Yes, it's a rattle can job with Rustoluem earth brown.

Uhhhh... Never tried this while drinking

I think I'm just going to do the base layer today on the rifle, vert grip, stock, and rail guards... I'll do the rest of the camo tomorrow
It's going to be the "Pinestraw" Method... But not sure If I want to go lighter or darker with it (Greens and browns, or tans and browns)

I'll probably just do the same thing I did with my last rifle... It lightened up in color quite a bit after fully curing. Pretty sure I'm going to use the Aervoe Field drab as a base... Seeing as the Aervoe is a lot more durable than the rustoleum

Can't do the mags today... Need to re-up on painters tape

Well the Aervoe Field Drab base layer that I sprayed last friday FINALLY cured enough for me to lay the camo down yesterday!

I went darker on this one for Spring/Summer, but if it's anything like the last one... It'll lighten up slightly once fully cured. I like it

Sorry for the piss poor lighting... I'm not gonna run around outside my apartment complex with a rifle
I'll get better pics in a few days... Maybe

Aervoe Field Drab base... Rustoleum Deep Forest Green, Earth Brown... and a tiny light misting of Khaki
