ETA: another question. I know my Mark 4 is calibrated for 168gr ammo, of which I have a little bit for zeroing when my lower gets done. But do you guys exclusively shoot 168gr out of your guns? Can I still expect good accuracy out to 800yd with considerably less expensive M80 spec ammo?

I've never understood the idea of putting 87 octane pump gas into a Ferrari......but I get it, everyone's got to try it once!

But in my experience, my ECC opens up to at the smallest a 2 moa gun with m80 ball, vs a sub moa gun with match.

Run quality 168gr or 175gr Match through it and see which it favors. Also try M118LR if you can source it. Don't put bullshit M80 blaster ammo through your precision rig. It's a highly unrealistic expectation if you think you're going to consistently group well with it.

You should try to hit anything close to man-size with precision with M80 that far. You'll quickly find it's cheaper per hit to use match ammo.

Totally different example, I was trying to dot a 10" plate with M193 out of a 10" AR. This was just at 300yds. I couldn't hit anything. I thought there was no way I could be missing this bad, switched to a MK262 clone out of 16" and pinged every time. Ammo to a gun is like tires on a car, makes a huge difference.

Wow that's crazy. Let me preface all this that I'm pretty alright out to 300 but I have close to no experience shooting past that other than on a M240L or M2A1 . So my long range experience is almost nothing. I always assumed that M80 was a decently accurate cartridge but I will skip it and spend the extra to feed the gun quality match ammo. Thanks guys! Hopefully I'll be able to post pics of my complete rifle soon

I've got some M80 but it's only for functional checks/optic rough-in/I-have-no-ammo-left-and-need-to-shoot-something ammo. Milsurp M118LR does better out of my EMC than either flavor of FGMM though.

M110 came home from PSD over the weekend. Couldn't be happier with the result. The MK11 and M110 cans are hopefully sprung soon. I need to start working on scopes. I'm thinking Nightforce for the Mod 0 and a Schmidt and Bender for the M110.

I can see a bit of color difference between the panels and the rifle. How close do they match in person?

There’s definitely some difference there, but the lighting is really over selling it here. It’s closer to the difference in color with the body and the grip.

Gotcha. Thanks. I like the darker shades of FDE, but the clone-correct color is lighter so I'm torn. They should have spec'd Field Drab.

^This.

If you going in understanding and expecting this, then you're good. People who don't know how Marvin works tend to get pissed off. These small operations tend to not have a robust staff of people answering inquiries all day, and I suspect they get a lot of BS correspondence and have to answer a bunch of silly ass questions all the time. Just have to bear with them.

I'll also add that once Beth invoices you for a barrel, as long as they're in stock which they are right now, they get it shipped out very quickly. I think Nackley over at NS Defense either has some Nefarious M110 and MK11 Mod 0 barrels or is getting another batch in soon. Either way folks have options now.

Is there a different kac latch that uses the smaller roll pin that can be swapped to the m110 gas busters that OP recently sold?

My factory EMC ('11-'12 ish production date) handle uses the same pin as the M110 ch. I grabbed one of the OP ones the other day too and thought about swapping the latch because that small one sucks. Are you the only owner of that ch/rifle? If not, I wonder if someone broke the pin and just drilled it out to accept a larger one.

ETA: I just noticed the roll pin in the rear...what's up with that? Never seen that before.

I don't think it was drilled at all because it's the same on the charging handle from my ECR special release gun. The one on the left in the first photo is from a EMC delta gun. The roll pin on the back of the charging handle limits the rearward movement of the latch and seems to prevent the latch from hitting the main body of the charging handle when it's depressed. Again it's on the ECR charging handle too.

Is this from a newer M110 deployment package gun? I notice it has the same latch as the one from Operation Parts.

Just picked up the lower from my local shop. They said they would get the cerakote "as close as they could" so I can't be mad about it not quite matching. Not a huge deal. Maybe I'll just camo it at some point

This rifle is SO BADASS! I've only ever shot one once in the Army and that was without a scope (had one in the shop for repair). I can't wait to see what this thing can do. Wasn't sure about the ACS before but I absolutely love it now that I see it all together. Hopefully I can still call it a clone

Those 4-16 ATACR's are awesome, I've got one on my Remington CSR, I bet it's perfect for the M110 or M110K1. Slight thread derail, here's my CSR with ATACR, it's a Mil-Spec version like the one that Coast Guard guy is using:

It's priced right too, but I'm gonna hold off until they release it in Tan. The ATACR is the best value in scopes, if they would just sell me a Tan one.
