That is one sweet looking rifle!

When and where did you get it? For what kind of money?

Does these things have bolt-hold-open devices?

Nice rifle, do you run Stormwerkz??
Inrerested in the base. Does it take out the slop that is present in all the other scope bases out there?

Yep, StormWerkz is my company.
The StormWerkz FNC mount uses a different method of locking up than the original quick release factory mount.  Rather than a springloaded locking plate we use a lockup method which draws the mount down tightly into the rear locking lug and at the same time pushes the front tab forward into the front mounting recess. It is a real strong lockup. Also the StormWerkz mount has the rail running the whole length unlike the other mounts out there.
There is a sight channel on the mount so the irons can be used with the mount installed.

how did you get a PMAG to work in your FNC?

I can't get them to lock up in my rifle - it seems that the magwell is slightly deeper and straighter than an AR15's

I will have to find the original stock and get back to you on that, since I use the M4 stock with StormWerkz adapter which has 3 levels of height adjustment I have a real nice cheek weld.

There are 4 different lower variations and unfortunately not all of them seem to accept the PMAGS.

well, that would be my luck :)

Has anybody experimented with judicious filing of the mags to make them fit?  it seems VERY close, just a millimeter or three from locking in.

maybe i'll be the guinea pig

Sigh....PMags piss me off.  They're so close but no cigar.

Four came with my TPD AXR and they're nice enough mags but the incompatibility among various rifles that will easily accept USGI metal mags is very annoying.

I can get the PMags to lock into my FNC if I bash it really, really hard on the bottom. Simply pushing with max force will not get it to lock.
So technically it can be forced into fitting but not something I would rely on.

To the other poster - yes the FNC has a bolt hold open device so you can manually lock it back but it is not a last round bolt hold open.

Urban_ops- I like your Stormwerkz innovations and have been following them on FNCtalk. I'll probably pick up one of your rails since the one I have won't allow use of the irons. Now if you could just start turning out some new barrels and bolts and stuff!

To the OP...a semi-auto FNC is a bit of a rare bird. I've only seen converted sear guns. Congrats on a nice rifle.

I'm partial to this one.

(Should be COC compliant as it's basically the same as Makarov Mami's avatar)

My PMags work in mine.......

Here's mine. It's a S&H sear gun.

P-Mags didn't work in mine either. But Lancer L5 mags fit just fine.

I have the Stormworkz mount too and it's a huge improvement over the B&T one I had before. It has a tighter fit, more rail (my TA-31F actually works on the this rail), and the iron sights can be used with the mount installed.
I recommend getting the Stormworkz mount rather than the B&T or B-Square ones.

Pmags work in some FNCs but not in most FNCs
Dont work in mine.
It is very easy to get them to fit. It takes only 5min per mag.
Just file the area that stops the mag from going in.
See the FNC forum on UZITALK.com for details.
I like Thermold mags in my FNC the best. They fit perfect and can be bought cheap. There are even POST 94 thermolds out there. Yes thats right, POST 94 ban Thermolds. These are not the poor quality Promag copies.
I dont use the Lancers mag because it has metal feed lips. Dont want any metal to metal contact on a $7000 rifle.

S&H autosear has been sitting in the safe for five years.  Finally picked up this 18 inch para.  Next they both go to Curtis Higgins for conversion.

I know Curtis at S&H, and he's done some of my guns, but not my FNC. Mine's a rarer registered receiver gun done by Hard Times Armory in the 80's. Paid $600 plus NFA tax for it. PMAGS don't seem to fit mine either, but that was also the case on my RR Colt AR/M16, where I had to file the back tabs down a hair for them to be drop free. With Magpul followers in about all of my G.I. mags, I'm not worried about their reliability anymore. I have a few factory FNC mags and a couple of Betamags if that doesn't work. It's kind of hard to tell from the pic, but a piece of high pressure auto hose (split and secured with zip ties) helps make the top stock tube more comfy, raised slightly, and protects it's finish. I have the most of the factory accessories, including the mount, but the new mount posted here has me interested.

My Howco FNC purchased new in the mid '80's. I still have the original box and all the goodies and it is a semi-auto!!!
