cool pic.

I can't decide if I want to put 762sv can on scar 17 or not.  Really wish there was a way to obtain the actual fn can.

I’m in the same boat in regards to the 762SV (if/when SF ever does a new run of them). I kinda just want to slap a SOCOM 762 can on it and call it good.

I was told by a local dealer (who has a good reputation) yesterday that Surefire did confirm with him a run of SCAR-SV cans were coming. No timeframe though.

Right after I order a limited 20S my dealer asked his SF rep and was told flatly "the mounts and suppressors are obsolete and we won't/cant make them." So I went ahead and ordered/bought an SS can instead. Then a week later I hear "oh hey, we are gonna do a run of these mounts and suppressors!".  I found an SV mount and my SS can does work on it but shit, do I buy the SV if it becomes available? Will the SV cans even have the old school locking collars on them?-- the ones that SF couldnt put on the SS when I requested it? So many questions.

Still haven’t been out to shoot it yet. We were out of town all Thanksgiving week, then I had a work trip to Dallas followed by another trip to Humboldt County, CA. Hoping to get out this weekend

What kinds of accuracy are you master race mk20 owners seeing? Im debating buying the scar17 now or saving a little bit more for the mk20.

Finally got to take my SCAR20 out to play today. First I ran some surplus 148gr 762 to get it on paper, then I ran some FGMM 168gr once I had it on paper. 100yd range, I was getting .5 to .75" groups with the Federal and a little less than an inch with the surplus 762. Definitely shoots well! I had less than perfect conditions on the range, it was soaking wet grass with plenty of fire ants looking for dry ground. The couple of shots I pulled were during or right after bites. But the 20 did very well right out of the box. Hopefully I can get to the 250 range in the next few days.

Worked like a charm and looks really good on the gun! (Sorry for the shitty photo)

@lonewolfgun your local guy secured the upper receiver in that vice like that to remove the FH?  He didn't have a barrel clamp at least?

Yeah, that made me cringe, too. I always pull the barrel from the receiver and use wood barrel vice blocks so there is zero stress to the receiver, extension, or gas block (yes I've seen people clamp the gas block with usually bad results).

@byou79  &  @Slippers

HELL NO He didn't remove the flash hider like that! He removed the barrel then put it in his barrel vise with aluminum shims then removed the flash hider. He's a professional, not no amateur. Does this stuff for a living.

I had him put it in the vise like that to take a photo of it.

Looking for a case for the 20s I run across a pelican case that says it's cut out for the SSR. Optics planet has 10% off right now and I'm thinking of picking one up but I'm curious on what the cut out looks like. Is it cut out like the one for the military , for FN's special release or a design of it's own.

The person I spoke to at pelican was no help and couldn't even provide a actual picture of the case. Has anyone ordered one of these yet and can you provide a picture?

Pelican's product number is 472PWCSSRBLK

So, How the hell do I get a ISMS mount with RH nuts? I bought a Mark 6 3-18 DAGR kit (Minus the aimpoint) a few weeks ago and it has LH nut's which are prone to the knuckle bash.

I did as well, I was surprised when it came in the standard package and I'm still looking for the blem.

Bought it for my 16, wish I would have snagged another for the 17 I have on layaway.
